I think the Heat is positioning themselves to make a move regardless if they are successful in acquiring Durant. Even if Phoenix is the ultimate winner of the sweepstakes, the machinations of the deal may be easier with a multi team front.

Jae Crowder, Kyrie, Myles Turner, or possibly another team/target being involved.

It’s clear the Heat don’t have many assets, but they do have contracts to help facilitate a larger deal.

Personally, I don't think Millsap has anything left in the tank. For the vets minimum, he be ok tho.

Nothing will happen until we get The Decision 2.0 from Millsap.
Then those who are out of the running will be fighting over the scraps like Durant

It’s gotten this long - The value just isn’t there for 34yo KD like BK was hoping for. 6 more pages until volume 6. This may not go 7 if Riles continues to chase, intensifies the hunt & starts to weaken their defences. Bk can only put up this poker face for so long. Kd won’t want to waste good health in a rebuild. His legacy is dependent on this nxt move. Time is ticking.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

KD still doing private runs with Kyrie, Westbrook and other NBA players(Sabonis, Cunningham, Wood). Maybe KD taking a peak at current Westbrook just in case he stays and Westbrook is traded for.

Well, that's true unless Miami were to go get a defensive center. Say Myles Turner or Jakob Poeltl? I wouldn't mind Montrezl Harrell coming off the bench to replace a defensive center with a tough high effort offensive center.

If Miami moves Bam that means they probably aren't moving Yurtseven in that transaction, you'd try to build a package with him in it to bring back a defensive center.

Your just being ridiculously greedy and entitled. you make it sound like not getting KD and we end up with 2 titles!

He has issues sure and it’s a gamble but what if he buys in yo heat culture

Could be a tim hard away part 2

It’s a gamble but I don’t know about you, I’m not happy standing pat without a big move and i def don’t want to pay herro 125 mil dollars

Kyrie is probably going to be on his best behavior in a contract year… try to win a championship, and then sign a massive deal..

Ill only take him as a one year rental. Anything beyond that would be two year deals with team options on the second year. Hes too problematic to take chances for anything more than that.

Giving up Bam and all our future picks leaves us in a VERY bleak position post-KD and Jimmy (in ~2-3 years). Bam is a great player that is still young and improving. I know half this board thinks he's a glorified replacement level rim runner.

The reality is that Bam is the foundation for a top defense and a key cog for a versatile offense. He's Miami's only real future building block. As important as any of it, he is literally best friends with half of the emerging stars in the league. Give Miami cap space in 3 years with Bam able to recruit his UFA buddies and we have the foundation for the post-Jimmy era.

The juice needs to be worth the squeeze.

I can't imagine Kyrie agreeing to a trade without the new contract in hand.

I’d only include Bam if we get both KD and Simmons, but that might be too lopsided in our favor—
