You put Jimmy/Durant/Adebayo together with some shooters, we've got a very good chance of winning a 'chip for the next 2-3 years.
I saw enough from Gabe and Max last season to suggest they could be solid nominal starters and floor spacers. Dipo will play plenty and assume Herro's role, and Martin will get plenty of burn too.
You pair Jimmy and Bam with Mitchell and we have a good chance of winning a title for the next 8-10 years. To me Mitchell is a far more valuable piece
Agree to disagree. I just don't see Mitchell as a player of KD's calibre. I'd take a 33-34yr old KD over a 25-26yr old Donny any day.
Jimmy is a UFA in 2026. KD is a FA in 2026. Bam Adebayo is a UFA in 2026.
We'd have a TON of space to reload.
I agree. I don't think Mitchell is worth what it would cost to get him. The Jazz would want more than the Gobert haul which would mean Herro + all our available picks and all available swaps.
KD on the other hand could be but I don't see foresee a trade where it doesn't cost Bam. And KD is 34, he's on the decline. I don't think him and Lebron are top 5 anymore. But still top 10 but not top 5.
I wouldn't be opposed to either deal but there are risks where either won't pan out. Mitchell because he's not a top 10 level player and KD of his age. I'd prefer the KD deal but only if we keep Bam or if Bam is traded we keep some of our picks and pick swaps. I don't want to empty all of our assets for either player
