It takes a lot of petty energy to search back through the board to find old takes to either A. talk **** or B. attempt to make yourself look smart

alright, I'm trying to put some light spin on this.
We know Kai isn't a shot creating stretch 4. Hopefully with his work and effort, he can still contribute as a hard working athletic big. Playing with a true point guard who puts him in spots where he can attack from advantage, hopefully he can still show to be an affective 4. He's gotten stronger, I want him blocking out and attacking the boards now.

Hopefully summer league is the outlier where he is trying to play the Miles role but it just doesn't suit him

There is a search function on the board which it makes it super easy. It is all in good fun, no reason to get sensitive.

I had no issue with your opinion, just had an issue with you beating a dead horse. Yet here we are again.

I made one post with some quotes and now you aren't letting it go, but sure I am beating a dead horse. Yet this is the 2nd post today you have used this phrase in it which is doing nothing to add to the conversation.

Kai Jones hasn't been good, my bad I won't bring it up or poke fun at people that were ready to crown him a bit early.

I think it's worth remembering that Kai was a year away from being a year away kind of guy on draft night. He was super raw and clearly needed years of development.

folks are kinda doing him a disservice by putting unicorn and "Giannis skillset" labels on him.

I like that he's shown a willingness to develop some perimeter game but I think he still should focus on being that rim running big in the Robert Williams mold

In all honesty I don't think Kai has been horrible. However, everyone set the bar wayyyyy too high for what they were expecting so you were pretty much going to be disappointed with his performance. Again my whole point was trying not to project a guy to be a savior who played more than 6 mins 1 time last year and averaged 1 point. All I have been doing is trying to slow the hype train. I am not rooting for him to fail.

JMAC - that's enough backseat moderating for one day, please stop.

Let's move on please.

Traditionally it takes a longer time for bigs to acclimate to the NBA…if they are able. Kai needs more time, hopefully with REALLY skilled coaching that directs his development. When I say direct, I mean recognize his best attributes and size/athlete ratio says to play him at the 5. Stop trying to create a stretch 4. Build this man from the inside out. He’s got lots of work to do just to be consistently strong in the paint and defending, much less shooting 3’s or dribble penetrating. Can he do some of that? A little, although not today against league caliber defenses. I’d love to see us eventually have a starting Mark Williams backed by Kai, with both doing some amazing things with size and skill.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I will say this, he’s looked very good when he’s taken the ball into the paint to attack the rim. That part of his game seems to come more natural. He should go to that more.

Probably not this year, but I do expect Kai to come in next season (2023) and start having a lot of 12-8-2 blocks type of games.

I think he will be in the rotation this season and contributing. Maybe not game 1, but by the all star break or sooner. He needs the experience now.

It's going to be tough for Kai, especially under cliff
We've seen he's not a 4
At 5 he's prob behind Mason, Mark, pj and even nick for mins
Gonna really be hard for him to get into that rotation
And with play in now a thing, even if we suck, we'll still be in the hunt

Kai shouldn't be in the rotation yet, needs another year. I have no issue with that.

He’s got a touch of the Josh Smith about him at the moment. Athletic forward taking some iffy shots while blocking shots
