Actually, if that meeting tomorrow is involving all the other teams involved in the smaller moving parts of the trade. This might be all those handshake deals that we heard were in place. And everyone meeting together means everyone already knows the framework of a deal and is ready to seriously agree to it. We might be getting Mitchell boys. The Nets might be having to call us at the last second to try to gift us Durant to stop us from just getting Mitchel and calling it a day.

Alright guys, which team wants to pony picks for Herro? We need some team with wavering winning percentages to pony up for Tyler. Who's it gonna be?

I think you need to see who has 25-30M in cap space to absorb his extension that tells you who can get us the picks for Durant. Maybe we call Pacers and sell them on Herro didn’t they just clear 26.5M?

Sounds like we could call SA and get in on some of those picks they got from Hawks deal

The extension won't kick in until the season after next.

who would ever thought that KD would want to be in miami? it seems like everyone wants to play in miami now. Now as who i prefer? i think KD... because he will ensure titles... i think mitchell will be exciting and fun, but i dont think he will impact us like a KD would...
imagine a lineup of
Lowry
Strus
Jimmy
KD
Bam

that team would absolutely decimate the competition.

Nobody needs cap space to take Herro, a simple trade of around 6 mil can get it done, after the trade they can extend him or just wait till next year. Herro's current contract is just under 6 million.

I'd think a smaller market team that likes his upside would be the best bet.

Indiana, OKC or Sacramento would be my best bets. But I'd be surprised if Utah (or Brooklyn) didn't want him.

Those teams have there two spot secured or have spent good draft capital at that spot. Best spots for Herro happen to be Utah or Brooklyn. Ain’t that something lol

What I meant to say is a team whom will have cap space when he is extended and his salary hits, I’m sure no team is paying the tax for Herro, unless they are a contending team willing to pony up above tax threshold.

Interesting. I guess the big hurdle will be finding a taker for Lowry. Herro can definitely fetch 2 picks from a young up and coming team. Maybe SA? Maybe looping in Utah since they are rebuilding and really value Herro. Definitely can see us acquiring more draft capital by rerouting Herro. I'd offer Jovic as well. Yurt, Jovic, 5 picks, swaps. Maybe they bite the bullet and take on Lowry and try to flip him at deadline. I'd reach out to Minny, Dallas or NO regarding Lowry.

Duncan doesnt need to be included to make the salaries work as he likely will not return an asset BKN is looking for. But the good news is Miami can hold onto his salary for a potential deadline trade with a team that could use some shooting like OKC or Indiana.

They'll have a year to get their finances straight, even if they extend him it doesn't kick in until the 2023-2024 season.

So, I guess those numbers that are making it to the internet about extension numbers are for other teams to decide if they want Herro at that price starting next year.

I'm a bit surprised that BKN wouldn't be interested in Herro. I get they might not want to pay him big bucks but at $20ish mil a year I think he's solid.

Well if Pat and Andy can get snek KD w/o giving up Bam then why not?

Vincent/Mulder
Strus/Dipo
Butler/Martin
KD/Highsmith/Jovic
Bam/Dedmon

We are right there competing with Bucks and Celtics for the 1st seed.

Yep, he’s holding too much cap space up, Duncan and Lowry have to go

The problem is who can we trade these players to?

Surprised Brooklyn does not want Herro but then again i understand them wanting to get out of the heavy tax. They want cost controlled young talent. Utah is the most ideal home for Herro and is favored by Ainge.

This is going to be one of the more outrageous deals ever completed if it's a 4 teamer.
