The Magic needs shooting and Herro with Paolo could be huge, plus adding on a pure shooter with Duncan helps that shooting case as well

San Antonio and Utah.. OKC. I'm sure there is a small market team out there with little prospects eager to lock in a marketable 22 year old with extremely high offensive upside.

OKC has SGA, Giddey and Dort at their guard positions, they're not going to want Herro.

SA is trying to tank for Wembanyama also.

Herro would be a good pickup for Utah who is be on their new timeline and they have to get to 90% of the salary cap so they do have to pay someone.

Wouldn’t herro scorring 28ppg on 30 attempts help them get Wembanyama…just saying

I agree here. SA taking on Herro is not going to win them a lot of games especially with that defense lol. They will still be in tank mode and remember the new lottery rules are that the 3 worst teams all have the same exact odds (14%). the 4th worst team only has 1.5% worse odds (12.5%). It's a total crap shoot hence why Thunder picked 2nd with the 4th worst record. It's even more random ever. SA can tank all they want and it won't guarantee Wenbanyama. Obviously they want to try to finish bottom 3 regardless.

yall are stuck on discussing how Duncan will make the trade more difficult when we don't need to add his salary. Again, he doens't need to be in the trade to make the salaries work.

Even better, we can trade Herro straight up to another team for picks

Just have to find a suitor for Lowry

I suppose the hope is he'd be moved, but if he isn't and stays, it's probably not the worst outcome. He can try rehabilitate some value and find his confidence in the second unit flanked by good defenders in Dipo and Martin.

Vincent / Oladipo
Strus / Robinson
Butler / ?
Durant / Martin
Adebayo / Dedmon

Herro’s extension looming is kinda lowering his value a bit with some teams. Utah and San Antonio are the prime fits due to need and having the money to pay him. Teams with very little wiggle room in cap space just can’t trade 6 million and picks and see there cap sheet jump into heavy tax next year with Herro’s projected 25-30 mil extension.

Indiana may be another option if they move off Buddy Hield's deal.

Haliburton/Herro backcourt would be nice and set them up for the next 5+ years at those positions.

His defense will help way more than his offense to get that high draft pick.

They have Duarte and just drafted Mathurin high. They have no need to spend on Herro.

KD 44 million

Lowry 28 million
Herro 6 million

We would need to include Duncan right?

Mathurin can always play the 3 with Duarte off the bench as a microwave bucket. Duarte shouldn't be an impedement on acquiring a superior talent. Herro is more ready than either of them to take the next step. It would depend on how high their FO was on Tyler though, obviously.

Duncan didn’t even have a great season before he was signed to the big deal. He had that one good bubble year that put him in a good place with Riley and Spo.

If it's 1 on 1 deal then yes Uncan is included but ICC mentioned BKN wants Yurt and picks only. Kinda weird from BKN's perspective.

Alright, ya I’m not sure how the multi team trade affects the amount you can send out vs take in.

This. He was pretty average for majority of 2020-2021. We were so obsessed with the dribble hand-off and his little dance with Bam that we force fed it to oblivion when Duncan was nowhere near as potent as he was the year prior.
