Ok boys got a fresh update just now from my buddy, heading into a meeting in the next 30 mins so gonna try and get this typed up quick.

1. Meeting happened with Utah and other teams presenting a package for Donovan Mitchell, meeting was not long, went well, however we are indeed competing with New York. They have indeed included RJB in their proposal which is what were bidding against right now. The good news they favor Herro over RJB by a small margine. The bad news were getting trumped badly on the assets. Looks like New york has responded with 5 FRP's and 2 swaps. Miami is not there. The other teams are unwilling to get us anything more than 1 FRP at the moment unloading Lowry and Fillers. Were at 3 FRP's and 2 swaps. Miami is holding on 1 FRP and is unwilling to go full on Mitchel just yet. Hoping to use this RFP on a secondary trade for depth.

2. On the Durant front, Bam is not on the table at all, our Final offer is already there. He said Indiana is being taken for a ride that may not lead to anything. Utah does not want Ben Simmons so Mitchell to Brooklyn is a pipe dream using Indiana and Phoenix. What he is hearing is Phoenix convinced Ayton to hold of until Monday of this week before commiting to any offer sheets, they also involved Indiana on a four team trade scenerio, which is whats keeping them from going for Ayton out right at the moment, their GM wants to work with Phoenix so everyone can get something is this multi team trade, Phoenix has been unavailable to find a working trade scenrio. Indiana is getting losing patience anything will come of this and will deal directly with Phoenix by end of the week for a sign and trade which will take Phoenix off the Durant Market. As of right now Durant wants Miami as his lead choice, and is extatic to come here, additionally Brooklyn has yet to get an offer sheet trumping ours. They have been more of in line or equal in weight.

They are also warming up to the idea of Herro if they decide to keep Kyrie. They feel like those players with a returning Ben Simmons could still make something happen in the East. Kyrie leaving instead next year with both him and Durant off the books give them wiggle room, plus Herro can gain serious value with improvements and freedom to run wild next to Kyrie. This idea was actually sold by Pat himself and was received well by Brooklyn.

Indiana's GM is such a bottom its not even funny.

And it comes down to whether ainge values Herro with 3 picks and two swaps or rj with 5 pciks and two swaps.

Problem is you can count on the nicks to be bad, the heat are usually perpetually out of the lottery. We could have a million on them, but they won't ever have much value cause everyone knows there is almost 0% chance you're going to get a top 10 pick from the heat.

Every time this board goes 2+ hours without an ICC update or any positive trending tweets (that are largely meaningless gibberish speculation) the locals start to freak out and only see the ways in which a deal won’t happen.

Everyone else’s assets become gold and the desire to sh*t on all things Miami Heat starts to prevail.

Why am I still surprised by this?

Edit: that’s not even to mention those who want to attack ICC and anyone else bringing potential nuggets. Are people that scared of getting hopes up and being let down? Just manage emotions

Well at least on our asset strength front it's a bit weird. We beat nearly everyone and almost got to the finals and our record was one of the best in the NBA which would indicate we have good players. But when ever we're brought up in trades, it doesn't matter who is talking about the trade. It always trashes our players and how none of them are any good or how they are all worthless. If anything that we have to attach sweetners for them to be moved (Duncan is understandable). Literally any player on any other team has more value than ours. I think people just generally secretly hate the heat cause we embody hardwork which makes their all flash and no substance approach seem even worse.

Herro gets a bit too penalized by our fans for his postseason when compared to a bunch of young players that have never even seen real playoff action. Lowry too—as if he didn’t raise our floor all season and get seriously injured early in round 1.

Randy Embry wore number 11 at Kentucky

Pat Riley wore number 42 at Kentucky

11 + 42 = 53

53 reversed is 35

It’s meant to be.

If its true that Utah (or anyone other team for that matter) doesn't want Simmons, then Mitchell isnt happening for Brooklyn.

Most responsible for the Heat being the organization they are today:

Randy > Wade > Riley

There, I said it. Riley wanted to draft Kaman. Randy is the true godfather

im not gettin my hopes up on a deal happening. with that said though.... if KD prefers miami, i really believe the heat will eventually cave, or brooklyn will also cave... one side will cave... which one? maybe Brkn... i can see KD and his reps pressuring them to give in and do right by him...right now both sides are waiting for the other side to make the first move... brooklyn probably wants bam in the deal, and miami is holding firm on FRPs, herro, Jovic, and whoever else has value on this team not named butler/bam.
