They have him under contract for 4 more years. Unless he will pull a Simmons and completely destroys his brand he is stuck. Honestly I see them playing it out this year to raise everyones value. Heck he's even tweeting Nets stuff, he's not the scorch the earth type.

The Knicks will most likely get Donovan, that will be a fun train wreck experience to watch for sure. We really need a starting PF asap.

boom. read my earlier post about the heat eventually caving and adding bam. Sorry, as much as i like bam... he isnt in durants stratosphere of basketball...and a pairing of butler/KD will itself gives the nba competition serious headaches.

He's under contract for four (4) more years - yes - but that doesn't necessarily mean the Nets have no incentive to trade him as quick as possible..

KD is a whale, and a top 5 player in the league.. but, he's also 34 years old and is coming off of a devastating injury (perhaps the worst injury in basketball). He's held up well for 2 years since then, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll hold up well for the remaining duration of his extended contract.

Any sort of injury or signs of decline in performance next season, and KD's value tanks by a factor of 10. Given that Kyrie wants the max and is an expiring contract, and that Durant has already asked out, do the Brooklyn Nets really risk it all to hold on to them for another year, or until the trade deadline?

One injury to 34 year old Kevin Durant, who has a rather slim figure and thin bones, and Brooklyn will be unable to find offers as good as the ones being offered, let alone better.

I think it's Brooklyn's best interest to trade KD before the start of the regular season, and I think they will.

maybe, but imo i think its true. To get a player of KDs caliber, you have to give something of high value. i never for one second believe the heat could land KD with FRPs and Herro.

The thought of a Dedmon/KD frontcourt is giving me a headache.

If KD is serious about winning then staying East would be the smart move. We sure that Suns team even gets out of the West?

Nope, meanwhile if he comes to Miami:

Is there a better coach than Spo? No.

Is there a better #1 than KD? You could argue maybe 3-5 guys.

Is there a better #2 than Jimmy? No.

Is there a better #3 than Bam? No.

Is there a better culture in the league than Miamis? No.

We’d be the clear cut favorites
