I don't see realistic scenarios where we're keeping Lowry in a KD deal

Did your boy say who are some of the players we’d turn to if the KD deal falls apart?

From the conversations I have had, Lowry would be gone if we trade for Durant or Mitchell, however if not he will be staying and the plan is to use Duncan's salary to go for a PF. Lowry seems to be committed to getting in real Heat shape so I doubt they use him if a big Whale is not caught.

I really wonder who are our secondary targets.

Marcus Morris Sr and Harrison Barnes. Take note on Markieff not signing yet even though he has stated he has been given offers already. He’s waiting to see if bro is on the move.

Do you know what Miami intends to do if we ship off Lowry? Will Gabe start? Maybe sign Shroeder? Maybe trade for Pat Bev or he gets bought out.

If we give up Lowry in any deal I’d love Beverley. But unless he is cut, that seems unlikely. He has a pretty sizable contact (13 million).

If we give herro, Lowry, Duncan…. We don’t really have a match contracts wise.

IceColdCubano wrote:Alright boys, sauces came early today!!! Hot of the presses...

1. Utah/Donovan - Miami gave their best offer yesterday during the presentation in the afternoon. They will not be leveraged anymore to one up New York's current proposal. A couple of things, my boy was actually able to scan through the actual power point presentation and was impressed. It was tailored made to showcase Herro, on the benefits to their team, contractually based on his projections vs cost, actually had algorithms and analytics based on social media impacts on his fanbase, etc, essentially some sort of algorithms of what players pulls more fans than others, kinda cool to know the team is that in depth. The team feels their is interest there for Herro from Ainge, however he is asking for way too much. In fact based on conversation with New Yorks GM, their offer is still off even though they are in the lead from anybody else on picks. Miami feels like Ainge might hold New York hostage and let this ride into the season hope they get desperate and offload everything they have to make a mid season trade. Miami is walking away at the moment unless Utah comes back and shows more interest in getting Miami back into the fold.

2. Brooklyn/Durant - Across the league Brooklyn continues to make calls and have conversations only a few teams are still showing some interest but there isn't anything out there sent back to Miami to Negotiate higher, in fact a lot of teams have very good communication and some GM's are transparent as far where they are package wise without giving up specifics as nobody wants to outbid a ghost for Durant, so teams do not want to set a precedence where they are taken advantage off based on the Gobert trade which Mini essentially outbid a ghost package that was never on the table. Durant is not backing down on wanting to be traded, if he had Brooklyn would have started used this tactic already to drive up the Durant price, in fact their GM has been very transparent on all communication to a degree which is good. This is taking a while due to the expectations that were set early on, the league/media kept selling the biggest return package in History of basketball and it just has not been the case. Expectations around the league is that Indiana has given Phoenix until the end of this week to find the mythical 4 team trade to get Durant, which has not materialized, there are talks from owners right now that Durant has set this precedence that is unacceptable and they are not playing ball to help him go to any preferred destination its gonna have to be an organization that has a good relationship willing to help a superstar get out of playing his 4 year contract. Miami luckily already has their ducks in a row with the final presentation in place. All things look to have Miami as lock to get Durant, without every getting Bam involved which is good news for the fan base.

3. There are 2-3 trades available once the Durant/Mitchell saga passes if Miami is unable to land either. The teams are respectful of Miami's all in approach and are awaiting the negotiations to be finalized to move Duncan, Picks, Yurt to get a starting level PF. There is another high to mid level profile trade available also using Herro with Duncan, Yurt, Picks to receive a multi player assortment to load up our Depth for quality role players if they want to go that route.

4. Bam & Jimmy have been doing a really good job of recruiting both Durant & Donovan this offseason they are in their ear constantly. Miami really appreciates this and knows how important player to player communication can be to offseason success.

love you

2. Mitchell and the Knicks look like chit and the fans start to turn on him.

3. HighSmith look like a young Tucker, plays the role player PF to perfection.

4. Herro, Bam and Yurt make a leap and look much improved.

5. We keep all out picks for the next offseason.

Zo posted a picture with Bam on Instagram…
So is 6’10 and Bam is 6’9…
Zo looks at least 3 inches taller. Bam is 6’8 at best.

Zo also looks like he could give you 10 minutes per game.

My thoughts are that the Heat would be comfortable starting the season with Gabe as a presumed starter while experimenting with different lineups. IMO Gabe is ready to be a Mario Chalmers caliber starting PG on a team that features multiple stars that will demand the ball for high usage and do a lot of their own playmaking.

I would expect Spo to have Oladipo work at both guard spots and depending on how that goes, could even see him VO ending up the de facto starting PG (definitely in the closing lineup come playoff time).

With that said, Miami would surely keep a finger on the pulse of the market for any bargain PG depth that could help either via buyout or cheap trade. I don't think finding a PG upgrade would be something the Miami FO would be eager to spend assets on.

Trust me not from lack of asking, I bombard him with a million questions when we talk. He says those role player names will not be leaked by any means they will come down hard on the staff. The verbal agreements with the other teams in place are based on close lip because if Miami gets their whale and these role players don't end up getting being traded the last thing the teams want is a player who doesn't know he was getting shipped out to be out in news on rumors. He knows I post this tidbits on here, I told him, hes ok with it, didn't want him to get blind sided incase another Heat staff reads the forums. However it hasn't gotten back to them because he is pretty good about what he tells me so it doesn't get back the exec's on specifics. So the moment somebody tweets some of my postings weve been getting some inside info on here, this probably ends rather quickly.

I'm surprised Lowry would be out in the Mitchell trade if that was the path we took. I figured it would be Herro, Robinson, and fillers since his contract is smaller than KD's.

Imagine how sweet it would be if we get KD for peanuts, and after he and jimmy's contract are up and are ready to retire. Donovan comes here and leaves the nicks high and dry for nothing in return after throwing 5-6 picks for him. F the Knicks. They could field the eastern conference Allstars as their team and they'd still find a way to be trash.

Doesn't trading Wiggins to Brooklyn pose the same issue that that trading Bam poses with Simmons currently on their roster?

No one wants Duncan. Honestly I see Diopo as someone getting traded now that he has a two year deal.

Duncan cannot net us the Pick returns we need, Miami is looking at the trade as a sequence start, where if this happens they need additional fillers to upgrade depth. Using Duncan which neither team wants is none starter, even getting him on a third team has been fundamentally difficult, as I understand there is still an auxiliary trade with Duncan out there available, once this goes by to get some depth so it works out having him off the Durant/Mitchel trade scenario.
