He's 21, played two years in college and was on the older end for his draft class (birthday is August 19). People keep talking like he's Duarte or something--late to college, played 4 years, transferred twice, etc--when he's just a slightly older than normal sophomore class guy. When I was in college there were plenty of freshman who were his age and had bdays in Aug/Sept. Not saying his age isn't a factor--especially compared to the true one-and-dones--but he's not that old, and he's definitely on a big upward trajectory.
Freshman year: 19 at start of camp, 20 for regular season
Sophomore: 20 at start, 21 for regular season
NBA Rookie: 21 at start, 22 for regular season
