Our 2nd rounder JD Davison was a killer today. 28pts on 9 of 14 from the field, 5 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and a block.

Yep, after the first game against Miami, which was a real stinker by the Celtics, this has been one of the most entertaining summer leagues in recent memory. Very competitive games with exciting plays.

JD has been a minor revelation thus far, although I'm not too surprised as summer league style usually favors fast moving guards. He deserves mention in this thread though, as at times he's been the best player on the floor. Davison was considered a possible lotto pick last year, but slipped quite a bit, all the way to 53.

Big fan and would have drafted him had the Raptors had a 1st. Just knows how to play and honestly would have fit perfectly in our tall/position less system.

FVV is not tall and position less.

Rockets have something interesting with Sengun, Smith Jr and Eason. Could be a formidable front court that reinforces Jalen Green. The Rockets just need to get rid of Kevin Porter Jr.

A good floor general type of PG would do great with that team. KPJ isn't it, and I agree he should go.

Mathurin has quietly put up 19.3 PPG ..... in only 22.4 minutes per. On 49-38-77 shooting. He has his warts and I can still see the flaws through the success, but he looks good, for whatever that's worth in SL.

I am very impressed with Mathurin actually. All of his strengths are showing in summer league.

If Kings fans moan about Fox's defense, they are really going to like Mitchell...

They need a big guard in the back court that can take on the tough defensive assignments, be a secondary playmaker and 3rd/4th option scorer in the mold of Jrue Holiday or Kyle Lowry. The question is will Jalen Green develop into a Kobe type player that can score, play make and play tenacious defence or Bradley Beal who is primarily a scorer focuses on playmaking second without giving much effort on defence.

Grant Williams type glue guy but better. Bulls have a really nice, well-constructed roster

Looks the 3rd best to me easily tbh, but still looks good. Two way player for sure.

My feeling as well. But you really can't take anything from summer league, these guys can look totally different once they're in the league. But I haven't seen anything to alleviate my concerns with the top picks so far, but they look solid regardless.

1. Paulo's defense at the next level
2. Chets frame/injury concerns
3. Jabari's handle/creation

Love Paulo's playmaking and size, which will help the magic right away. Chet regardless of frame still remains productive, which is extremely positive. Jabari two-way potential is extremely high regardless of where is handle/creation ends up.

I like his tools and skillset, but I like all three.

Paolo really reminds me of Blake Griffin when he first arrived in Detroit and he was going nuclear on the league. His passing and ability to control the pace has really surprised me. He's my pick for ROTY.

Jabari gives me a young Rashard Lewis vibes, and you can really see the potential in his game. Being an 03 birth year, he's still so young. Would not surprise me if he ends up being the best player out of this draft.

It's a little harder to make a comparison for Chet, but the tools and skillset are there. He really is the unicorn of the bunch, but I thinks he's the least ready of the 3, which is a little worrisome considering he's 6 months older than Paolo and a full year older than Jabari

Paolo was outstanding on defense during the summer league. His on-the-ball defense is better than advertised, he uses his physicality on his man.

He loses focus sometimes off the ball. He drifts off his man and needs to box out better.
