Urban Dictionary says

“Leon laughed off Danny’s advances saying ‘That MF isn’t going to Ainge me’.”

I think Grimes, IQ, Obi, and McBride are worth one FRP each (at least a low FRP).

Consequently, it's like Jazz asking for 10 FRPs from us...

F*ck Danny Ainge. Tree Rollins should not have stopped at just biting his finger, but should have entirely eaten that sneaky rat.

I think its kinda close

If the jazz were willing to swap out Cam for Obi/IQ I think the deal is done.

Cam/Grimes/Mcbride (salar filler) + 6 1st rounders I think is the middle ground.

Have to add Fournier and maybe Rose to match salaries.

There is no way Deuce or Grimes are worth a FRP. Not yet anyway. IQ and Obi late FRP's sure. Grimes could possibly get there is he plays well this season. Deuce would be worth a SRP at most.

well of course, but I don't think the jazz care about salary filler. I'm talking strictly assets and then whatever player they want as salary filler.

Got you.

We may need to walk away from this one. That's ALOT of assets.

What's the last team with two starting 6'1" guards who won a championship? played in a final series? Made the playoffs? NOT WORTH IT. Keep our 2023 picks and Obi and Grimes and roll the dice. We might get a Hailburton or D. Mitchell at 10 or so, we're DUE. And even if we don't DM isn't going to get us past the 2nd round. :noway: :nonono: :banghead:

Grimes is worth a FRP for sure. He is really good. And he still has 3 years of his rookie contract left. He would be a mid-round pick in a redraft.

McBride is a reach. But he was very good in G-league and Summer league. I would prefer to get him than to risk a very late pick in a question mark player.

The player does not have to be very good to worth a FRP. Shamet cost the Suns the 29th. Cam cost the Knicks a late FRP.

Not even being biased but if I'm a playoff team, I would give up a lottery protected 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder to steal Grimes from the Knicks

Grimes already is. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. He was a a late first round pick and if there was a re-draft he’d be taken 10-15 slots earlier. However, many FRPs wash out of the league by the end of their rookie deal

how are we drafting 10 when we were like 11 this year and added Brunson. More like 14-16 range which is NBA purgatory.

Shamet and Cam I thought both had a bit more of a resume than Grimes - who had a solid rookie season but still limited due to injury/playing time. Thought Grimes would reach it by early season if form continues but i'm also happy to accept that he'd still be worth a FRP now.

The Utah Jazz were a pretty good team with two 6’1” guards

MCbride isnt worth a first. One of the few times the knicks correctly evaluated a rookie's proper pick placing after botching soooo many draft pick failures and picking rookies much higher than they should be picked.
