Absolutely. I like what IQ brings, but he’s going to be redundant and his type of player is much easier to find.
Obi is sui generis among contemporary NBA players. You will not find another one like him for a very long time, if ever. The guy will be a difference maker for whomever he plays even coming off the bench. He is one of the most disruptive players for a guy who is almost purely opportunistic I’ve ever seen. Having a guy you don’t need to run the offense through who does what he does balances out a squad enormously

Fair points. I like Obi, too, and it would also give us insurance to deal Randle at some point down the road...
Also, just because we don’t trade Randle now does not mean he won’t be moved this season or next.
Look at how they structured the C position. Sims and Hart may take over if they trade Mitch. Same deal with Obi. You keep him and he takes over after Randle is moved.
Patience and vision is required. More fans need to stop running every scenario strictly through a Donovan Mitchell trade scenario. There’s more going on than that
