If I'm the Nets I don't want that distraction in the locker room all season.
KD would've a new home by now if it weren't for the T-Wolves. They look more like a puppies now. Giving so much, gutting their team for a Rudy Gobert. What a bunch of idiots.

If they trade KD they are going to stink anyway, so what difference does it really make?

Bad news, Sauccy Nuggets incoming, good to post this one live, via text:

2:52PM, Hey bud its official, we have been notified by Utah negotiations are over we lack the ability to perform a working trade.
2:54PM, Expect to hear Donovan trade to NY shortly, or Utah saying there not getting anything of value and will be moving on.

Damn...this starting to look bleak. I think we should target Irving now, it's becoming clear we can't get Durant or Mitchell. Getting him still adds an elite scorer to help Jimmy and we might have enough left over to still trade for some kind of PF for the roster.

Thanks for the info.... not a surprise unfortunately. We were never going to top NY's offer -- and that may not be enough. Guess this could all come down to how badly Durant wants out.

Marks secured his bag, now get to work and get er done. Media sh*tstorm of lackluster haul for KD compared to the BS about “greatest trade haul in history” won’t leave him compromised.

I mean, if they do keep him while he still wants out he is going to be a distraction to the team, fans, media etc.. Without KD sure they will stink but at least they can start building something.

They need real assets to win games since they traded picks. Again it just makes so much more sense to bring it back for a year and then see how it plays out. Its in Kyrie best interest to show the world he is sane and worth a max contract. Its in Durant best interest to show the world he is elite and that will get more teams open to spend real assets for him. The Nets need to see what Ben bring to the team, if he's back to near normal on defense his value jumps up. Again sure it could all fail but factoring the upside vs what is currently being offered, it makes sense to bring the gang back another year. That sucks for us but from their perspective makes the most sense.

Bummer but expected. We are about to see what the Market Value for Donovan is. This should be good.

This has always been the best play. It bothers me that apparently we're just not even considering it. Get Kyrie for cheap and use assets to add a starting PF.

It's what I expected, didn't know if I could fully trust this tweet from earlier today although I added him to my nba twitter list somewhat recently.

Of course it makes sense to bring back arguably the best player in the NBA. The thing is he demanded out. Let’s see what he does next.

I don’t think teams are unsure as to whether Durant is elite or not lol. He has nothing to prove. It’s a question of how much control he will exert.

And without Durant, BKN aren’t real contenders. Their focus shifts to being “fun”, marketable and attractive to future free agents while developing what young talent they can. Make money and rebuild

Our owner and probably Riley himself would probably rather keep Lowry then deal with Irving.
