I was reading the timberwolves forum here on realgm

they actually think it was a great trade over there, and they are talking about being the #1 seed next year and that they are going to shock the nba by doing something different.

are they serious. lol

That reads to me like they’re saying we can get a 1st for Duncan. We can for Strus too regardless of what this guy is saying.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

It makes no sense for Brooklyn to not trade KD right now. Let it play out.

well, looks like its time for the heat to wrap this thing up heat fans. We dont have enough for mitchell, and nor should we overpay for KD.thats why i never got my hopes up, even though i was interested. Move on. and now focus on signing some good role players. The heat need to just hope herro improves... herros the key in this thing... until he balls out and shows rookie herro no one is buying. Kid has talent too, that rookie season he had was encouraging... just needs to stop talkin and go out there perform...

Nets other issue, which may have surprised them, is teams haven't lined up for the KD sweepstakes. And w/ Suns out of the running we're essentially the only team they're dealing w/. We don't have to outbid anybody. Furthermore KD made us his preferred team. Who has true leverage here

not happening... i just watched a video where a really good youtuber highlighted the heats best offer... and he said our best offer was basically hot garbage.. lol... strus/dr/herro + 3 FRPs.... the chances of danny ainge accepting is like hoping to win the lottery... its just not happening. and i dont see why the heat would add bam.. because that would create a huge hole on the roster and our starting 5. I would make an offer for KD... since hes older and injury prone and hope brkn caves... but i would move on from this and focus on Role players.

Ummm, we have only one roster spot and room for one minimum salary as it stands. They’re not signing any good role players. The only way they’re improving the team is through trades. That was the plan the entire off-season.

They’re not just gonna keep him. If he wants out, he’s getting out. Saying they’re gonna keep him is just media posturing to get someone to raise their offer. The second training camp starts, his trade value goes down with each passing day. He’s getting older. They can’t really play him for fear of him getting hurt and sending his value to zero.

There has never been a star who demanded a trade who stayed with his team, unless he eventually got more money via a contract extension to change his mind. With Durant’s salary already maxed out, that’s not happening here.
