Ummm, we have only one roster spot and room for one minimum salary as it stands. They’re not signing any good role players. The only way they’re improving the team is through trades. That was the plan the entire off-season.

aint no trades happening, we do not have the assets. it sucks but its just the truth

S**t, YouTuber JasonFockFace94738 said it wasn’t possible?! Someone tell Pat and Andy to pack it up until training camp.

You’re wrong about not having any assets. But even if you’re right, it doesn’t change the fact that they can’t sign anybody of significance anyway. So it’s trades or nothing. That’s the truth.

Adam just said on a spaces we’re talking to the thunder and Mavs to get picks. He said the thunder deal is done we’re just working on the Mavs now

true, but remember hes on a 4 year deal... they can just keep him...

They’re not just gonna keep him. If he wants out, he’s getting out. Saying they’re gonna keep him is just media posturing to get someone to raise their offer. The second training camp starts, his trade value goes down with each passing day. He’s getting older. They can’t really play him for fear of him getting hurt and sending his value to zero.

There has never been a star who demanded a trade who stayed with his team, unless he eventually got more money via a contract extension to change his mind. With Durant’s salary already maxed out, that’s not happening here.

If KD gets injured while playing for the team he requested a trade from the Nets won't be relevant for the next two decades. No way they risk it lol

Damn if true Durant must of said he's still set on coming here today. Hope we don't get screwed and trade away someone like Strus or Vincent and not get KD or Mitchell.

All these teams would probably be involved in 1 trade.

If no trade happens for eithrr mitchell or durant.. i just pray we dont trade away our picks for bad contracts just for the sake of making a move… we are not going to make a big playoff push without another star.. and making a dumb trade just to hve a trade done will only make our problems bigger

I feel like a done deal of any sort would leak in detail very quickly.

The idea that the Mavs of all teams will help us get Durant is "interesting" or insert a more appropriate word
They are the team that reported us to league lol.

Listening to the Basement guys talk about Mitchell like he is top 5 player in the league is too much.

I really don't get the love affair with Mitchell. He's definitely a better player than Herro but he is not empty the asset chest better than Herro.

Mitchell does not guarantee us anything. Mitchell has been out the 1st round one time and had good teams surrounding him in Utah.

The series that everyone points to where Mitchell played out of his mind scoring 36ppg, 5rpg, 5apg, 1spg, 53FG%, 51 3pt%, 94FT% and lost in 7 games in the first round. As impressive as that performance was, to think Mitchell is going to shoot 53% and 51% from 3 again or on the regular in Miami is just short sighted.

If Mitchell is traded to New York there is no shot in hell that Mitchell stays there beyond his current contract that team will be a poverty franchise for the next 10yrs minimum if they make that trade.

Sounds like they just like Mitchell more because we have our cornerstones for the next 7 years minimum. I’m fine with it but he’d be our 3rd best player lol. KD is the top dog and we need to get him. We’ll worry about Mitchell when he wants out of New York.

Mitchell has been elite in the playoffs though. It’s not just that one series and he definitely makes us better. I just don’t know about gutting the whole damn team for him

LAL traded Ingram, Ball, Hart, 3FRPs and 2 FRP swaps for 25yo, healthy at the time in his prime Anthony Davis giving you 27ppg, 11.5rpg, 3apg, 1.5spg, 2.5bpg while also needing to make this deal to ensure that they retained Lebron James have him sign his next extension.

And dudes are out here talking about trading Herro, Lowry, Jovic, Strus, Vincent, Yurt, Highsmith, 4FRPs, 3FRP swaps and 3 2nd rounders for 25yo Donovan Mitchell as if its good value.

I understand having your cornerstones for the next 7yrs, but your right the focus now should be Jimmy's window and we can address the long term future around Bam after that. That's why Durant makes the most sense right now you net him and ride out the next 4yrs with KD, Jimmy, Bam and then we re-tool around Bam when he's 28yo entering his prime after our other guys all expire.

should the Heat hire me? yes. ill take the corner office thanks

could you imagine posters on this forum held positions in Heat FO!? We'd have a different roster every season  Fickle bunch panic wld ensue regularly & players wld be rotating on trade block

Give one of us $200k a year and the ability to nix one signing per year. Last year would be Duncan. This year Herro. Next year, prolly Strus or Vincent.

Give me the chance and I will deliver a KZ Okpala getting 30 minutes per game.

+ Bam playing next to a stretch C.

Personally don't think it's going to cost gutting the team to get the picks we need. We aren't competing against a ridiculous Knicks deal for KD, we aren't dealing with Danny Ainge who's looking to fleece anyone he trades with also seems like to some extent BKN working with KD to send him where he'd like to go.

And if I'm wrong about the cost, I'd still feel far more confident competing for a championship the next 3-4yrs with KD, Jimmy, Bam and nothing than I would with Mitchell, Jimmy, Bam and nothing even with KD at age 34-38.
