Pat won't let Durant get away.

That may be true but everyday is more clear we dont have enough.

If Herro showed up in the playoffs, this trade would have been a wrap by now.

If we strike out on everyone, we needa try to make this kid look like an all star and sell high.. not a very high ceiling and IMO has already peaked

With our luck hes gonna start the season like Jovic started summer league

Not just Herro. If Duncan even showed a pulse we might even be able to move him

If this team stays as is, Spo needs to figure out some way to maximize his centers, use Lowry at backup PG only, and put Bam into a PF role. A PF rotation of Bam/Martin/FA/Jovic suddenly doesn’t look so thin.

Herro’s value is not going to increase until he’s made into a starter and shows success in that role. He should have been starting last year over Duncan but in many instances it felt like we were starting Duncan’s contract on most nights when we was going 1/10 and 2/15 from 3.

He should have started, but he didn’t win the role. Pat Riley called him out on it. If he wants it, get it. No reason to pay a 6th man max money. Especially since player performance often drops after their payday.

He’s not going to play Yurt and Bam. He had many chances to do it down the stretch last year even with a hobbled Dedmon and still refused. We need to trade Yurt for a player Spo deems playable with Bam and not some slim SF either.

Herro value is too high here. More like 1 first round draft pick, lottery protected and a 1/2 second round picks. The main reason is his contract extension is up now. You are paying for his bird rights basically.

If the goal was to trade Herro all along its been a colossal mismanagement of an asset. Then again our front office thought the Lowry and Duncan deals where steals for us.

The other thing to consider is Duncan has a house down here, he knows that if he players better he gets traded so from his perspective it makes sense to spend this off season and season more focused on his pod casting skills than improving his game and getting traded. Again players are not idiots, they know whats up. Come year 3 of the deal we will see a motivated Duncan because years 4 has a team option.

Yup, he won’t. But Martin will last no more than 20 games at PF in the regular season and will be out in half a game in the playoffs, so something has to he done. Some of the hits Tucker took this postseason would have knocked Martin out for months.

How did he not win that role over Duncan? The organization was trying not to have egg on it’s face by token starting Duncan because of the contract. It got so bad he was was starting playing 12-15 min a game while Herro was at 30-35 and playing all of the 4th quarter. It was a sham

Duncan was mediocre and showing signs of falling off during his contract year and we still rewarded him. He’s proven to be weak mentally and gets into his feelings fast when he starts to miss.

Martin was getting banged up bad last year too when Spo was getting cute playing him at the 4. It’s a recipe for disaster.

Im thinking Herro would net us at least top 10 protected and a second rounder

I turned this off when the three hosts agreed that “Riley is p*ssy” if he doesn’t trade for Kyrie. They sound like a bunch of simps who’s opinions are based off playing 2k in their momma’s basement at the age of 25. Probably where they got their name from.

That is definitely true.

Right now, strus, gabe and caleb has more fair trade value in what we would get in return than what we would expect to get from robinson and a guy who won sixth man.

We need to start moving to secure depth at the 4 spot if these pipe dreams have not materialized by now. Run it back but this time with two true PF’s. We got a healthy Dipo off the bench and let’s hope Tyler continues to grow. Revisit this next year with Lowry’s expiring and a market not so phucked up.

Some leftovers guys to target if we miss out on the real whales :

Bojan Bogdanovic - experienced stretch 4 good scorer with suspect defense

John Collins - Looks to be getable, locked in a long term deal that might be overpaying him

Myles Turner - on the trade block, he's expiring and had some health issues

Oshae Brissett - young cheap big wing with role player potential

:sigh: :dontknow:

My dude Alf said it best here. This is a market that could set franchises back decades. If Durant suffers an injury we are so phucked mortgaging everything for a small window. Let’s not cave in to these absurd demands. Let the Knicks Knick for Mitchell. Shore up our weak spots reasonably and let’s run this back with our heads high and chemistry intact. Let us not be sucker’s of the moment. We have a very good team here that plays well together.
