1. The meeting went very well, he does not know what was said in the meeting between all parties, however did hear that the Agent did most of the talking but Durant was there and did say somethings, there was a rep from the Brooklyn side present who did not talk. The meeting was held via conference call and very little has been said about any of the conversations from our executives.
2. Miami is moving forward with the plan to get Durant at all cost so don't expect any ancillary trades happening for medial upgrades unless they are meant to get assets/picks.
3. The problem now is that most Front offices are going on leave/PTO. It makes things drag a bit for the next 2-3 weeks.
4. Miami expects that with the information passed down to NY they should hold steadfast and call Ainge's bluff. We need to snag Durant before Ainge offloads Mitchell the repercussions of them getting a large haul for Mitchell could potentially cause a giant rift between all parties in Brooklyn with the expectations continued to be set over there at Utah basically raising the market value, meaning they could decide to play the season out even if Durant wants nothing to do with them.

I'll get another pot of coffee going...

Who is going to be our competition for Herro next offseason? Who's got that cap?

What would Herro be offered this offseason if he was a RFA? I expect Duncan's downward spiral, combined with Herros lack of participation in the playoffs would minimize the offers he'd receive.

My dude Alf said it best here. This is a market that could set franchises back decades. If Durant suffers an injury we are so phucked mortgaging everything for a small window. Let’s not cave in to these absurd demands. Let the Knicks Knick for Mitchell. Shore up our weak spots reasonably and let’s run this back with our heads high and chemistry intact. Let us not be sucker’s of the moment. We have a very good team here that plays well together.

Unfortunately we need to do something major. This team as constructed cannot last another year. Herro is looking at getting 25+ mil a year, thats not even counting our other players whose deal ends. Diopo if he has a good year will cost us double his current salary. Remember we are not know for paying the tax so something has to give. Thats not even talking about Butler and Lowry being a year older. Something has to give. Say Bam is out for the season, with the way we play defense its not going to go well for us. Something drastic has to happen. So we are on the desperate side unless you think Mickey will pay the tax for this team

The team can definitely last another year, but it will be last affordable year for this roster.

Herro, Dipo, Strus, Vincent, Yurt are going to get paid AFTER this upcoming season.

So we can still make a move at trade deadline, some of these guys might actually up their value for contenders.

The question is can we repeat last's season with the same roster? I say probably not, because Celtics, Bucks and Sixers got better.

If we get rid of Lowey and Duncan after this year (48Mil Combined!), we might be able to keep all these guys (they should cost around that number, probably even 60+ Mil combined)...but we'll still be missing that star piece (unless Herro takes another big leap).

I really don't understand this. I look at that same list and I see 1 guy that is going to hurt to pay, 1 guy that hopefully can recover enough of his game to make it expensive to re-sign him, and 3 extremely replaceable players.

Do you really believe that if Max Strus fell off his balcony tonight that the Heat would have any trouble replacing him? And Vincent? And Yurtseven?

There are guys you sweat over in this league, and then there are guys who are role players or roster filler. Those last 3 guys are role players and roster fillers.

The only guys on our roster worth losing any sleep over are Jimmy, Bam, Lowry, Dipo, and Herro. That's it. And Lowry makes the list mostly because we need him to perform or we're in trouble. The rest of the guys are readily interchangeable.

Who was Miami's competition for Robinson last year?

For as bad of a contract Duncan he is still a high-level shooter and if you have enough defense out there you can definitely use him during the regular season.

Hey guys one more thing I forgot to include that we talked about, lots of info getting passed in 5 minute convo:

5. Just a heads up something he heard this morning, Miami reached out to Tyler Herro on Thursday afternoon. They wanted a follow up and talk about the current news of him via the trade market as they heat up. He has yet to respond to the Heat organization as of this morning, very rare he is usually quick on respond. They last spoke on Monday Night where he was ok with being the centerpiece of a big trade. Which is how Miami built their packages sold to both Utah & Brooklyn. It could be something it could be nothing, Miami definitely wants zero burned bridges here. Unlike some other players Miami already knows, as scouted, an Angry Herro is not a good basketball player. More to follow on that front as things move.

I can’t believe we actually signed a 6’7 245 pound PF to a two way. We are finally turning over a new leaf

Hardly surprising. But I hope we're not the ones paying Herro that kind of money or anywhere close to it.
