How so?

Looking at the 2022 draft, I would have been willing to trade Donovan Mitchell for Paolo Banchero. I'd also have been willing to trade Mitchell for Jaden Ivey and 2 FRPs. I wasn't sure what to do with Chet, and still don't to some degree. I need to see him at NBA speed and space.
In this draft, I'd consider trading Mitchell for Wembanyama, Henderson and either Thompson at a minimum. I'm also intrigued by Dereck Lively, Nick Smith and Dillon Mitchell. There could be 5+ All Stars in this class.
Mitchell is a high volume low efficiency, undersized shooting guard that struggles with play-making and plays pretty much no defense. If the Jazz can get a top ten pick in a future draft they should jump on it.
The only reason he is so hyped is because the US media created a story to try and get a local win Rookie of the year in a bad draft class. He was two years older than everyone else and people fell for it. His peak is Lou Williams, but for some strange reason he is still being pumped up as a superstar. Has shot the Jazz out of multiple playoff series, but fans only seem to remember the one series when he and Murray played no defense on each other.
Could be an 18 ppg on 40% like Harden

I mean, what do you gain from that place? If you dominate you're doing it against high schoolers so nobody takes it seriously. And if you don't then...why the hell not? You SHOULD be wiping the floor with them if you're an NBA calibre prospect.
I have nothing against OTE. It was a long time coming. G League salaries need to go up.
For development sake, you are working with really good coaches and these are high school kids for the most part.
They will be scrimmiging overseas teams this year I believe, but were constrained last year due to the pandemic.

End of the day, these kids want to get paid as basketball players. OTE does that.

His value on offense – and with it his overall value – depends on him being able to make plays for others and hit 3s consistently. Doesn't look like he managed to do either in SL. There's time, of course, but I wouldn't look at his SL performances and feel encouraged about his NBA outlook.

NIL now covers that money aspect, the coaching is arguably better in college and there's better exposure for the NBA by playing in college/G league.
OTE strikes me as some rich guy's vanity project that's ultimately worthless but promises enough to get suckers to sign up for.

At this point you have to pencil him in for sure. But I will also say this, we've seen guys like GG tank pretty hard their 1 year in college. GG right now gets by mostly just by being the better athlete. Dont get me wrong he is a hell of an athlete. The jumper and handle is pretty iffy at best at the moment. Its not too rare to see high ranked guys based off their athleticism in high school kind of get lost in the shuffle once they get to college.
Now with that said, one of the promising aspects with GG is a visible growth in the skill areas of his game.

Or maybe an Amare Stoudemire.

why do you say that?

Feels inevitable that he will do a serious injury with his size.

Gobert has been relatively healthy.
