the mass of Charlotteans on twitter handwringing about smoking a blunt arent doing us any favors either. such a lame city, always 10 years behind, just like the Hornets

I don't think anyone really cares about him smoking a blunt. Him videoing himself smoking it like he's a 13 year old is more annoying than anything.

His brother is just awful.

I don't know what else the organization can do to make him feel like he has the keys if he truly feels that way. Hopefully we get a big man in the offseason.

I think the kid is a head case punk right now…swimming in his own adulation, grounded by a father who is perpetually interfering within his boys lives. He’s got such great talent, but if he doesn’t have the steel in his heart or his head, he will not carry this team or any other.

Normally immature youth with great talent find their way via one of two roads; the hard road that chisels them into toughness that meets their drive, or the easy road that elevates them to a bigger stage for showing off. The latter may find some success but do they ever lead their teams to greatness?

IF he positions himself in this self serving way, I would keep a sharp eye on the situation. He is our greatest asset. Assets can be traded for better fit great assets. Not advocating anything now. But warning flags are going up. My spidey sense is tingling.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I think it's kinda BS we as a fan base are just going to accept LaMelo as a bad defender and let it be a crutch when building our team.

LaMelo is 6-7 point guard, good length, fast, good instincts for reading passes on defensive end. No reason, I mean no reason at all he couldn't be a top 5 defender at his position after Smart, Jrue, and Murray. Really after that most of the defensive point guards are meh or just plain bad. Lowry, CP and Conley are okay, but they should be after playing in 5 different defensive schemes in last 10+ years.

Realistically if he could stop committing dumb fouls after he turns it over, feels like their was a no call and going for stupid reach in fouls 35 feet from basket I think he could be a notch below the guys above.

He has the quickness and IQ to stay in front of guys, wonder if Darvin Ham could get him to buy into that end of the floor.

Didn't know he was a 50 year old fat Harley rider.

What's next, barbed wire around the bicep? Tramp stamp?

I must be getting old. I absolutely hate his new tattoos. I have tattoos myself and loved JJ Redicks. Lonzos tattoos look pretty good as well. This tattoo from Lamelo stating "not from here" lol. Hope it has some meaning we don't know about. He's a special talent but not THAT special.

It means there's no one like him in the past, present or future. He's explained it in past interviews.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of flame tattoos, always come off to me as something a 13 year old would get. I do like the some of the smaller pieces within it though.

Maybe I'm weird but I don't value Booker nor Mitchell anywhere near that highly

if Miles is on a max contract, that may be generous if he doesn't take a leap. I don't think he'd be negative value, but significantly depresses his trade value if we ever found ourselves in that situation with him

That was just an awkward situation last offseason, glad it got cleaned up.

Now my Muggsy jersey is a LaMelo throwback, just like it was a Malik Monk throwback.

Friend of mine that I graduated highschool with over the last 18 months has done several paintings inside Lamelos home. To say he is talented is an understatement.

Does anyone know how one can acquire one of the new #1 jerseys? His stuff never seems to be available.
