It was **** nuts. Best concert I've seen in years. The energy of the place was crazy. Only disappointment was Zack not performing with RtJ but I'm guessing that will change with upcoming shows.

Crossing off seeing these goons in December and couldn't be more stoked. Such an underrated group.

Just scored tickets to see them at the Bill Graham in December. This one is my favorite Radiohead, *erm*, The Smile songs, on the album...

Yes, it was awesome. One of the best I've ever seen. Perfect way to start off a 15 day stretch where I'll see 34 bands.

Saw Ayron Jones for the first time Thursday. Amazing newcomer. Saw Swedish metal band Avatar for the 7th time that day too. Phenomenal. If you like it heavy (I do), they're an absolute must see.

Yes, festivals can be great, this one was, and I caught 28 bands in 3 1/2 days. Getting recharged and rehydrated this week before catching more this weekend.

Yeah, I get it now. I wasn't as much of a festival/concert-goer, but still did my share. I'm just entering the stage of my life with kids where I am wondering if I'll see 34 combined bands in the rest of my life, so it was jarring for a moment.

Anyone else with an old-soul for music?

I've been rocking some Frank, Dean, Elvis and Tom Jones at work. Damn were they all legends.

Not as far back as Frank, Dean, or Elvis, but I'll never not be fascinated and intrigued with Woodstock.

Found myself watching the Woodstock documentary for like the 30th time this past weekend. Damn I wanna go visit the lawn.

I absolutely love the old Motown/soul stuff and pretty much anything that sounds like it's influenced by that era.

I was able to go see Michael Kiwanuka in Italy during my family's trip there and it was probably the best concert I've ever been to. For those that are unfamiliar, here's a couple (very) extended studio versions of a couple of his songs.

They're admittedly very long, but I think they're well worth watching.

As noted a few posts ago, I'm officially washed up, but I went to Lollapalooza maybe 3-4 times between 2006 to 2012 or something like that.

Are they moving away from having the 2 headlining shows in the 10 PM show?

I think the last time(s) I went, they had 2 headliners and a non-headlining EDM tent going in the final window. Some of the bands listed in the headlining row don't seem like headliners? But I'm a bit out of touch. There are other shows than Green Day at 10 PM on Sunday?

Got tickets to one of my favorite bands, The Paper Kites at The Turf in St. Paul (350 person capacity). Outside concerts and small venue concerts are my jam, and The Paper Kites haven't left Australia in a while for a tour, so I'm pretty jacked.

Also going to check out Death Cab for Cutie at the Sylvee next month. Haven't been there yet and heard it's pretty sweet.
