I am supremely confident with Aller leading these neogtiations. The only thing I fear is when he's no longer leading these negotiations, and given the owner of this team and it's media coverage, we all know that moment is inevitable.

So I'm going to live in this Brock-Aller-in-Charge happy space until then.

Yeah, this is what I mean, right

To someone with no context or knowledge of how this all works, this would sound pretty bonkers.

I remember being a kid sitting in church hearing this stuff and being blown away that grown adults believed this stuff. And then thinking there was something fundamentally wrong with me cause I couldn't buy into it.

Not knocking anyone's belief system, but a lot of adults believe religion, or politics, etc. because they've been conditioned over time to believe it and not because they actually sat down and thought it through.

The conditioning process is extremely powerful. A ton of people are Christian because they've always been told they are since birth. They've been indoctrinated to the point that they simply spew out what they've heard or always been told, versus what they deeply thought through for themselves and really think it makes sense for them.

The same thing happens with political beliefs, the zodiac, and more so it's not a surprise. In fact, most things we say we believe are really just things we've heard so much that we think we believe it.

But, I was told he got a 6'10" wingspan so his defense shouldn't have allowed that to happen.

I can’t wait to hear when the trade is made official so those fans don’t like the move blame Dolan and those that do like it give Rose all the credit

Easy to understand why Donovan is so excited for this trade.

Melo and I are the reason for that, unless you're talking about murdering your brother, then that would be Chanel and Guan0.

So, let met understand this. Are you guys saying there was a Pro Slavery proponent debating an Anti Slavery advocate on the Jazz board? Or was it more like: Slavery. Discuss!

I didn't see it, but I'm going to correctly and with 100% accuracy predict slavery stemmed from them not wanting to give up Donovan, they were wondering why he had human rights to begin with and thought the Jazz franchise actually owned the players to begin with. They also were willing to trade him straight up for Isaiah Hartenstein until they found out he was 1/4th black.

He doesn't realize 99% of the fans wish the media would STFU about them.

Actually he does, and he's engaging in an insincere effort to do the what the media always does

What if the grand purpose was to become one with God. Not even later on when you go to heaven but right now. What if that was the price of the Cross. It was not so one day we could go to heaven but that Kingdom reality the very nature of God could live and breathe in us right now!

I was hit with this in the shelter and I simply said yes to God...that I wanted to be his Son just like Jesus was. The rest is history. I carry the nature of God and am born from above not from below. Its a pretty special purpose...a pretty special destiny. To have the same nature as the one who created the Heavens and the Earth.

1Cor 13:4-7 "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

1Cor 13:13 "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

John 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."

Matt 7:22-24 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

It seems like you should spend more time proselytizing Christians to be Christian because as I look around at the self professed Christians and this scripture echos in my ears.

Meditate on that but all this is off topic, don't keep replying to me with it.

Assuming
RJ = 50 points
Unprotected picks= 30 points
Grimes= 25 points
Obi= 20 points
IQ= 20 points
Randle= 15 points
Protected picks= 15 points
Cam= 10 points
Swap after2025= 10 points
Rose= 5 points
Swap until 2025= 5 points
McBride= 0 points
Evan= Negative 5 points

I think Donovan will going to cost us: 155 points.

"Oh yeah, so these guys, once a week, they ritualistically consume the (metaphorical) flesh and blood of their god, who was sacrificed to himself via execution while he was in human form in order to cleanse humanity of the sin of one woman eating an apple she wasn't supposed to way back in the day. Also they wear miniature versions of said execution device around their necks because it's their holiest symbol"

I don't have anything against Christians in general, except for the part where they went around and rewrote a bunch of religions to the point where it's impossible to tell what the original context for said myths were or even if they were originally stories told by that culture or added afterwards by the monks. Also the crusades. And the whole altar boy molestation thing. Really, anything to do with organized religion is a hard no from me, individual people are usually fine.

Faith baffles me to this day. Been a Rollercoaster my whole life - from fear to anger to tolerance to envy/jealousy to thinking its romantic. But I could never make the leap myself.

If you strip away all the mythological aspects of religion, their cores are still great philosophies to live life by. Its just too bad that its not taught that way and instead leans into those myths to sell their faith.

Personally, I'm really not into having religion unless I can leverage it to look down upon others and try to run their lives according to my morality. For their own good of course.

DOT...Anything apart from Christ can sound similar to the carnal understanding but without Christ you can't have Son-ship.

Essentially, Christ had to take on the nature of man so we could have the nature of God.....it was the purpose of God taking on the nature of the flesh and dying to it and being reserrected. It was so we could share in his death (to the flesh reality) and enter into his nature (God/Kingdom reality)
New reality of Son ship!
All who receive and believe in Jesus, given the right to become children of God. Not born of flesh, but born of Spirit. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Glory that came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
