Let's decide who the top 5 current NBA players are.

Stephen Curry
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Nikola Jokic
Luka Doncic
Jayson Tatum

Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, Luka, Durant would probably be my top 5 right now. I wouldn't even consider Brow like at all.

Jokic, Luka, Giannis, Curry, Embiid. It's basically some combination of these players with the ability to sub in KD, Bron, or Tatum/Kawhi for Luka or Embiid based on whichever bias you subscribe to.

For me in no order:

Then I flip a coin between injury prone KD and Embiid. If it was fully healthy KD I would take him over Embiid for sure.


LeBron or anyone else dont have chance to break into that top 5/6 right now. Those days are behind Bron. Only Kawhi if he shows his peak level again would easily go into that top 5.

Also not understanding how some people think that a 37/38 year old James can somehow be a top5 player.

He is the greatest 37/38 year old player of all time but he is not top5 overall.

And lol at thinking that Davis could be top5. This dude might probably not even be top10.

Going forward, I wouldn't project huge changes. Younger guys getting better, older guys fading some. Some health returns but if they've been out for a while I'm not immediately moving them back to top-5

Top 6 look pretty solid. Then some questions. Other guys may take those last 4 spots.
