It will be a sad day when Chuck eventually leaves Inside the NBA. I can't imagine who's talented enough (or cool enough) to fill his seat. I'll always miss his digs at "dem big ol' women in San Antonio."

You can tell he also loves Gianni/Bucks. Calls him "best player alive by far." I remember during the postgame of Game 5 @ Brooklyn last year when he went off about how that loss for Milwaukee "was bad for basketball" and he all but called for Bud to get fired, lol.

Chuck's irreplaceable. Nobody combines the irreverence, HoF cachet, and just ability to perform that Chuck has. I'd probably try to get Redick. Draymond might be ideal but he's not going to retire soon enough. Maybe Blake? Baron Davis? Agent Zero?

While I would hate to lose him, I think Marques would be a helluva candidate to replace Chuck.

He's got the history, the Hollywood stories and the personality.

I think he's too old now. 7 years older than Chuck.

Hot-ish take, I think Draymond's fulltime media career isn't going to be nearly as successful as many think and certainly nothing compared to Barkley's. Draymond thinks very highly of himself and takes himself very seriously, conversely Barkley doesn't take himself seriously at all. Maybe with age and retirement, he'll mellow and be able to laugh at himself but I'd say that's more unlikely than not. The other is that, I don't think Draymond is actually anything special in terms of analysis and personality, but that he's willing to have opinions and take shots at people as a high-level active player is what makes him so novel. As soon as he retires, that goes away.

Gilbert Arenas would be great, but alas...

No one's replacing Chuck. Surprisingly TNT dropped the ball by not having the "Guarontee" button for Chuck for the 2022 playoffs. I missed the random chaos that ensued.

Would be interesting but a bit jarring to have someone young alongside Shaq and Kenny. Seemed like for a while Turner was trying to groom KG for the future Chuck role but that fizzled out.

Feel the need to jump from the top rope with an old man commentary on Kane Pittman. The guy is very smart and has worked his butt off to get where he's at. Respect. But as the months go by, having a harder and harder time understanding him clearly on LOB with the accent. Need the Aussies to weigh-in whether his is a bit on the heavy-side.

Outside of Norm Macdonald, who is in a stratosphere of his own, Charles Barkley is as funny a human being I’ve ever seen or heard.

I know I've mentioned him before but I think John Salley would be good if you're looking for a Chuck-type of entertainment and personality over insightful basketball knowledge.

Good call, John Salley was a scrub player. But he played with Isaiah, MJ, and Shaq. He is funny, cool, and articulate. There could be a future star commentator there.

Unfortunately Salley is disqualified for being a host on a Tom Arnold talk show.

TBDSSP was a great show and Tom Arnold was good on it. I won’t have it besmirched

John salley was on pardon my take recently. Tough interview, hard pass on Salley filling that seat.

Of the names listed I would probably go Arenas but I think once Chuck leaves they probably need a whole new line up cause the chemistry between them is what makes the show. Adding Shaq kinda screwed up the dynamic already, Inside the NBA was at its best before that.

cant TNT get rid of Reggie Miller instead?

Who knows maybe Turner throws a brinks truck at Chuck for three more years?

Gilbert Arenas is annoying as hell. Aa far as outsized personalities I'd prefer Gary Payton.
