Someone had quoted a Cavs fan proposed trade of Duncan + a 1st a few pages back. Would you do that? I'm a bit wary of his size especially if Lowry is still here. Still think we should look at Shroder as a cheap stopgap if Lowry gets moved for a non-pg

Sexton was a 24 PPG scorer in year 3. With an Oladipo like program I would definitely take him for Duncan and a 2023 protected pick

I would just rather use Duncans money to try to get bigger, not smaller, That's my only issue

If we had another plan for the 4 I'd be down

Shipping out Herro would be the plan to address the 4 in that scenario. Turning multi year commitments with Duncan and Herro into multi year commitments with Sexton and promising PF sounds like an ideal approach if the Durant pursuit falls thru.

Career per-36 between Sexton & Herro seems very similar. Wonder what kind of contract Sexton will be getting next

Reportedly very much cheaper than what Herro is angling for

A Sexton extension for Robinson money or even less would be awesome if we’re able to get him for cheap. Only question remains now when does Lowry get traded with the Herro extension looming

Sexton/Gabe
Herro/Oladipo
Jimmy/Strus
???/Caleb/Days/Hughsmith
Bam/Yurt

The scoring potential is there especially if Bam turns up offensively this season

Unless we’re moving forward without Herro which may be necessary too. Ideally Lowry and Herro for a legit 4 then Sexton in a separate deal

Love this plan, however it may be tough to get a cheap 4 for Herro because we won't have much $$ to move in a deal unless Lowry is involved.

Rui? Nance and picks? Not sure

Would 10000% have Herro and lets say Barnes/Morris over Sexton and Rui

There is no reason for Herro to start. The Heat starting unit is not a problem. The Heat would be forcing the issue that's not there again and only trying to appease Herro ego. Heat needs him coming off the bench.

Where the improvement is needed is the closing unit. That is where they need Herro to show up

Nah. He paid his dues already. He should 100% start.

If they need him to show up in the closing unit, why does it matter if he starts or comes up off the bench? It's not like we're closing with just bench players. I disagree with the notion that Herro starting is just to appease his ego. He's the best player at the position, barring an Oladipo return to pre-injury form, and it's high time we start rolling with our five best. We're the only team trying to contend that thinks its a good idea to start lesser talents because of "gravity" and other nerdy nonsense.

Bam wants to win DPOY but I wish he set his sights on scoring champ.
