Grant Williams is a 41% 3 point shooter. I'm taking him in a heartbeat.

My gut tells me the deal is going to happen; question is what do the Nets do with Kyrie? Kyrie never requested a trade, KD did, and Kyrie has been very open about welcoming a KD trade if he wants out. I am beginning to believe this is KD wanting to get away from Kyrie. I am not opposed to a Kyrie/Brown/Simmons trio with a good depth chart.

I have said from the start I wanted Jaylen Brown. This was always the best deal.

Brown/Smart/White/3 1sts and 2 swaps or no deal.

Youre getting back **** Kevin Durant with 4 years.

Then I get Kyrie to stay. Unless the situation is totally unsalvageable.

Simmons-Brown-Kyrie basically makes us a 50 win team. Add a few more pieces and we are back in business.

This discussion also makes me realize KD coming back is not tenable. He still wants out after it being clear it won't be Phoenix or Miami.

**** him. Get him out of here. If we bring him back it will be an utter disaster. We are not winning **** with a butthurt Durant.

Don't trade Kyrie unless you get value back.

Kyrie and Brown are good friends too.

Lakers offer is not at all worth it.

This is my top target, JB a young all-star 2-way player. Add a DPOY bulldog in Smart and a couple of FRP's & pick swaps is like cherry on top.

Adding defensive-minded players to this team makes a ton of sense, whether or not we keep Kyrie.

I'm just sick and tired of seeing us get outscored & outhustled.

Brown & Simmons is quite a formidable "young core" to continue to build around. We just need a "competent coach" and we're good to go...

That's why I believe Kyrie wouldn't mind this trade; we might resemble the 17-18 C's.

Thank you. Durant is a huge bitch.

I don't want Derrick White. He can't shoot. Give me Brown, Grant Williams, 2 1sts +1 swap and whatever else needed to make the money work. I don't care if Boston doesn't want to include Smart. Just get me Jaylen Brown.

It would be a huge plot twist if the C's do a straight Tatum-KD swap; in which case, Nets win the deal....Only because of age difference and Tatum can do for the Nets what KD did.

I was talking to my brother and he made a good point, would a trade with Boston include Seth or even Joe being shipped out? I don't know what Joe's trade value is, but would he be expendable if a player like Jaylen Brown is traded to BK?

Why would we trade shooters if we would hypothetically lose KD? That would make NO SENSE!

That initial offer from the Celtics was weak sauce. Depending on who we can get I'd be fine with less picks though. Brown is still pretty young and if we can get Smart and/or Grant Williams I'd lower the asking price in so far as picks to 2 or 3.

Brown, Smart + 3 picks/swaps or Brown, White, Williams + 4 picks/2 swaps.

That’s it. I wouldn’t budge on anyone else beyond that. I would look into possibly taking back Horford, though.

Smart / Mills / Sumner
Curry / Harris / Thomas
Brown / Harris / Edwards
Simmons / Warren
Claxton / Sharpe

Or

White / Mills / Sumner
Curry / Harris / Thomas
Brown / Harris / Edwards
Simmons / Warren
Claxton / Williams / Sharpe

That would easily be a playoff contender with proper coaching.

Whether or not a KD is traded to the Celtics, this is great news.

This just legitimately set the market for KD as an elite young talent(Brown) and the starting point for any deal. So the Suns, Raptors, Heat etc etc need to beat that deal by either matching with a JB level player + more.

Happy with how Marks has handled this.

I’d think a realistic deal would be brown/white/grant 3 firsts. I don’t see the Celtics losing both smart and brown. Obviously I understand the nets wanting that deal and asking for that but the Celtics are in a really good position - they don’t have to make any trade at all. The nets don’t either really until we know for sure he’s still demanding out.

If the Celtics get KD they are the title favorite. If they don’t get Durant they are still a real contender to win it all. The nets come out of this with Jaylen brown picks and solid role players who can defend and are great team guys with good chemistry. It’s still a very good package. They also don’t need 3-4 teams to get it done.

Also for you guys it doesn’t matter when the Celtics offered brown or if the deal is weeks old. All that matters is the Celtics did in fact offer brown so there’s a real blue chip asset on the table if you do have to deal KD

That was sort of what I was thinking, but I didn't think Boston would go for that (losing Smart). Things are about to get interesting. Hopefully.

I would ask for Robert Williams as well.... Brown, Robert Williams(not grant) would be great returns including picks...

but in the end, i doubt this will ever happen. Marks will need to bleed the Cs dry if he was gonna move KD to Boston... f that.

Derrick White is not efficient enough for my tastes.

Give me Brown, Grant Williams, Pritchard. You can plug those guys right in with our roster.

I don't think they will give up Smart, and frankly Smart's contract is too long.

Upsell me on Derrick White. I wasn't impressed with him at all when we played you guys this season.

I totally get not wanting to move Smart. I absolutely want Brown, Grant Williams 3 1sts as the baseline.
