I was listening to the 5 on the floor podcast on the way to work, a few things they mentioned:

-the team kept looking at the list of FA’s (at start of free agency) to see if it would improve and it never did. For the why didnt we sign this person or that person folks, it really doesnt sound like there was anybody out there the team was high on

-Expect strategy to tilt towards offense. They recognize they didnt have enough scoring in the playoffs, expect them to try to maximize getting scorers on the floor together.

-KD/Mitchell a game of chicken (obviously this is pre-Boston report). They are in the mix for KD but recognize they have no control over his marriage or divorce from Brooklyn

-Some people in the org believe we need to explore Omer/Bam pairing, playing bigger in general

-FO isnt as desperate as fans are to make a change. They like their group, if it isnt KD or Mitchell dont expect any trades at least until the deadline.

Just a friendly reminder, Jimmy turns 33 this year and he has miles on him…

Can he grow muscles on the bottom of his feet, or is he still going to be ~ 6'5?

This point really needs to be highlighted over and over again before the rallying cry of using the MLE at the 4 gets out of hand.

We use MLE on PJ Tucker and we're paying him at 41 and would be hard capped.

Are people really lamenting over missing out on washed Galinarri and TJ Warren?

btw this would be Spo's revenge on all the small ball haters. Our PFs are just going to keep shrinking until there's nothing left.

Translation on our budget no one would bite on a contract. You got to pay to play in this league.

Would it surprise you to learn that KD has played ~ 12,000 more minutes in the regular season and ~ 14,000 more minutes overall than Jimmy?

I think fans just want a functional PF.

Not exactly. They value Martin a lot, if they didnt they could have easily signed some of these other scrubs people were whining about. They (wisely) were not going to hard cap the team.

Quite the symbolic ending to our one thousand page daydream of a offseason :

DemonOP sending KD to Celtics, Mitchell to Knicks, and netting us starting PF Millsap.

He's not the OP we wanted but he's the one we got. The Universe made sure of that.

As do I--not sure an upgrade was on the open market for our budget.

I agree not using the full MLE on Tucker and being hardcapped.

There were options available at the tax payer mle though (which we used to sign Martin) that easily are better power forwards than Martin. Which isn’t hard because Martin is a 2/3.

One of Highsmith/Days/Jovic would be our Strus next year book it, we know this coaching staff. One of them may start with Bam.

But it should be Yurt/Bam from here.

If this is true then why didn't get a PF through FA. I don't mind waiting till trade deadline to make a move if KD and Mitchell doesn't materialize but we can't go to the season with a huge hole in the starting 4 position.
If Kyrie doesn't end up in LA then we should wait and keep our assets in case either Bron or AD become available in the trade deadline. The LA roster isn't great and if they don't get Kyrie its going to self destruct again.
Otherwise we should make a move for Myles Turner for a 1st Yurt and Duncan and no more than that. Outside LA self destructing, I don't see any other potential trades for allstar level players being available this season.

I find it funny that no one even bothers to consider playing UD.

I meant outside our team. It’s going to be a long season.

Has Riley lost his touch? Or did Aimge & Wolves stupidity just f*ck us!?
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Back in 2016, they worked out together and Butler expressed how he felt about Jaylen’s look, calling him ugly and telling him he actually made him look better, which is why he hung out with him. They went to Cabo San Lucas to work out and Jimmy was quick to mock Brown’s hair.

“I think that’s what it was,” Butler said, via Mass Live. “I was like, man, you’re uglier than I am with that hair. So I’ve got to hang around uglier people to make me look cuter.”
