And yet nearly a month has gone by and we don’t know Ingram has ever been offered. It’s actually never been reported anywhere he’s been offered. It’s been talked about as a player that would get a deal done but never anywhere that he’s been offered. Brown is actually being offered. That’s the difference. I’m only confident that the Celtics offered brown. Doesn’t mean Durant’s even traded or if he is to Boston. Woj, shams, Stein, windy, and mark murphy and Steve bulpett 2 plugged in Celtics guys basically confirmed Jaylen is on the table. Doesn’t matter when. the news is he’s offered at all.

Personally I think the nets leaked this to get other teams to up their offers as they should and that’s the reason there’s a leak- because the nets haven’t been offered what they want yet. Windy can hint all he wants that ingrams on the table but it hasn’t ever actually been reported that he has. So it’s all rumor. I’m going by what’s actually a real deal.

I know Boston is not some destination at all but I have real doubts that KD would wanna basically attach his championship window to Zion Williamson’s knee and eating habits. In Boston at least we know Durant has relationships with Tatum, ime and horford. And where KD wants to go will have SOME effect in this. It will matter in some regard for sure. If phx and Miami can’t get a deal done that matters.

KD probably doesn't want to go to New Orleans I agree. But I don't think he wants to go to Boston either. He clearly wants Phoenix or Miami. Boston doesn't seem to me to be a market that would appeal to KD off the court.

This clearly isn't just about contending. If so, the current Nets team on paper could easily compete for a title.

Ultimately we will send KD where we get the best offer. Unless he at age 34 would seriously threaten to sit out the place hes traded. Unlikely.

KD's only way ti push back would be to rescind his trade request.

I think it balances out getting a dog like Smart though, and Grant Williams gives us a much needed stretch 4. We still have Patty, Harris, Royce, Warren who can all shoot. If Kyrie stays, thats another.

I feel you on that though. Having a surplus of shooters around Simmons and Brown is ideal.

I gotta be honest guys my perception of Durant's value is all but in the toilet.

Yes, he's a great player. Super efficient.

He also has a garbage attitude, doesn't want to be coached, he's a terrible locker room leader, and on top of that, he has had significant leg injuries since he got here. He also sucked in the playoffs and that performance in itself to me was a massive red flag.

To me, getting a young guy like Brown to pair with another young guy like Simmons is more ideal than having to walk on egg shells around KD's bitch ass. Any team that takes KD back in a trade is taking a massive risk, and I think teams realize that.

So FFS, why not just let go of that rope, and get back to good team-building, right?

Why not skew the upcoming Durant & Kyrie trades moreso in terms of future capital, and less-so upon needing a 'star' player in return?

I mean.. we're not going anywhere soon, we'll be a decent team either way, so why not think about the future, yeah?
