He might not suck. I wouldn't hate it.

Internet sensations don't always make good NBA players

I know next to nothing, just a quick glance at his stats. That’s why I was asking.

The G League Stats at 17 with 7 dimes per game are intriguing.

I'll be honest, that's more than I knew.

It's far more than I knew. I didn't know the guy existed before WFL posted about him.

My Google suggested links point out a lot of NBA related stuff. I saw he was cut, clicked the link, saw the stats and checked his BB reference page for the NBA and the G. Then I asked about him here. That is literally the entire universe of information I have about him. Obviously he wouldn’t be the sexiest signing, but we need a two way PG and I saw he happens to be a PG with decent PPG and AST.

He got MAJOR hype in high school. Like it was Cooper vs. Ant for top hooper out of Georgia. There was a NCAA suspension that slowed his hype at college, and I kinda feel like he got exposed a bit at Auburn. G League is probably the best level for him, though his numbers are even better than I would've expected so maybe there could be something there.

Wanted Cooper bad in the draft, he was the most talented passer in his class and despite his shooting #s, I always thought his handles could get him whatever shot he wanted.

I actually thought Atlanta was a great spot for him, he got to stay home and learn from a superstar PG that was the same height as him, but I honestly feel like the NBA lifestyle got him too caught up and the real dogs of basketball were outplaying him.

So I did some digging on the Hawks board and around the internet. Poor summer league performance combined with a different player they wanted contributed to his being cut. The QO only guaranteed 50K and got him to play in Summer League. Also, he has a reputation for acting out when not getting what he wants. Showing up late to practice, talking back to g league coach, ect… Rumors suggest he felt he was too big for the G league and wanted more time on the main roster and especially on the court. It seems unlikely he be any happier in Iowa. I don’t see us giving him a rotation spot as a two way, nor do I see him getting above 4th on the depth chart. Moreover, his defense is really, really bad. Based on this, I doubt we pick him up. Connelly is all about character and culture, and Cooper seems to be all wrong for what Connelly is trying to build (if the rumors are true.)

Iowa Wolves starting 5.

Moore, Lawson, Minott, Paschall, Knight. I am actually tempted to watch that.

I doubt Knight will be in Iowa much

Probably true, but he should at least play a few to keep himself tuned and ready.

Seen on hoopshype

“Keith Smith: Kevon Harris’ Two-Way contract with the Orlando Magic is a two-year Two-Way deal, a league source tells @spotrac. – via Twitter KeithSmithNBA”

Good for Harris :)

That's a hell of a lot of rebounds for a part time guard. Are we sure that isn't assists?
I looked it up. It's right 3.9 rebounds only 1.5 assists in 20 MPG. That's very solid rotation minutes. WFL isn't going to like him.

Portland would use him as a small-ball 4, even guarding Towns at times for an example.

Yeah. He's a BIG GUARD. Big/Tall and talented beats small/short and talented almost every time. I like it.
