I know maximizing profits inside the dome is what they value most but they need to do something about the exterior of the dome at some point. Looks like an old concrete box

Already up from the $200-250 mil plan of last December:

Still partial to building a brand-new stadium but beggars can't be choosers. Gotta open it up somehow to make the fan experience less sterile

Are they doing anything to the stadium or just tearing down the CN Tower?

Or for Soto's extension, he wants 500 million, if we trade for him we would be 3/5ths there already! lol

Ah man, was really hoping for a lakeside stadium. Use all that parking space and real estate the Ontario Place region.

Should've left the main core for the condo hellhole that it has become, and develop waterfront with the baseball park and other attractions.

They will just build condos there instead.

People just don't remember what it was like going to a game at Exhibition Stadium in April, May, and October. Are you going to a baseball game to watch the game or eat fancy food and see beautiful scenery over the outfield wall? Putting in patio seating is just an admission that the game is boring. The only upgrade I've ever wanted is natural grass.

Without a roof there is no way I'm traveling 2 1/2 hours if there is any chance of bad weather.

Those games in April were awful. Cold steel (or aluminum?) benches, that brutal wind off the lake, terrible seat grading with bad sightlines (guy in front wasn't low enough).

The Ex was abysmal.

Might to be tough to get it finished during one off-season

Never understood why there was so much foul territory in that place.

Build somewhere else?

Problem is, I'm not sure there's really anywhere else they could build.

Shapiro said this was a medium term (10ish years) solution.
For lease.
