This season Knicks are clearly better but not looking out 2+ years

Eh, our future is a question mark. We don't have a Cade, but with only 4 players on the roster over 24yo...Brunson (25), Randle (26), Fournier (29), & Rose (33)...all of their own picks, and 4 protected 1sts from Dallas, Detroit, Milwaukee, & Washington; the knicks have the ammo to trade for a player of that caliber if they are patient and find the right guy; or if they can take further steps in that direction while maintaining enough ammo to someday make their own version of the Kawhi-trade.

Beef Stew is so overrated. Dude is an undersized center. That wants to shoot 3s yet not a great shooter. Duran is an unknown. Cade and Bey should improve. Ivey is a rookie.

When the Mavs had Brunson he was a rising young player. Now that he’s on the Knicks , he’s an overrated player and not that good according to the GB.

last couple of months of last season and through this year's Summer League, Stewart has been playing the 4 more and has shot 50% from three on volume. It wouldn't surprise me if he's the starting 4 from now on tbh.

This is a silly thread. Pistons have an amazingly bright future but they are way too young. Knicks will be 10+ games better next year.

Apparently the Knicks/Jazz trade talks have fizzled, so stop assuming he'll be a Knicks.

The Knicks got Brunson and Harkenstien. If they add Spida we’re talking a very good team. The pistons are too young at this point

Got tired of the Knicks always being in the news so proceeded to passive aggressively diss them on RealGM.

I think next year the Knicks will be better, especially if they acquire Mitchell. Pistons are just too young, I don't see them winning more than 30 games next year.

My question to Piston fans, you guys have a very bright future. Skies the limits, but why are you even thinking about the Knicks out of all teams?

Off-season isn't over yet... Knicks potentially have a 3x All-Star headed their way.

Maybe not right off the bat better but I’d take the Pistons young core 10 times out of 10 in terms of building for the future.

The roster difference comes from tanking vs treadmilling.

Treadmill team? What do you call your ORL Magic team? 3 PO wins in 10 yrs, talking about treadmill.

You mean thats a question for one Piston fan who started the thread. I don't ever even think about Knicks (not cause they're that bad) but i just don't see where the two teams are even relevant at this point in their timelines.

i know if i was a pistons fan i’d look at the knicks as that team on the bubble of maybe making the playoffs and i’d wonder how we match up with so the young talent we have accumulating so i guess i don’t blame him.

The next time NYK are patient and wait for the right guy will be the first time.

I’m sadly just realizing this was posted by a Piston fan.
If people want to do a brighter future type thread among a bunch of teams find, but it’s weird to pick on New York

I won't be delusional, it's still the Knicks. But the Knicks definitely will suck, and the Pistons will definitely become substantially better. If you started this thread at this same time in 2023, I'd probably agree.
