Banchero scored 59 points in the game. He's been amazing everywhere he's played. Hopefully it's something that translates completely to the NBA.

Edit: He apparently scored only 50. The NBA's Official youtube channel had it at 59. My bad.

He “only” dropped 50, not 59–just calling that out. McDaniels was pretty good too scoring 52 points.

Isn't this the format where Payton Pritchard put up more than 90 points lol
Kids played football, drove cars, went to school, celebrated life; while soldiers, heroes, their brothers struggled to find their way home from war; and young boys watched and grew wiser in their dreams.

A drop of water in a summer drought of NBA basketball. Obviously not to be taken really seriously, but fun to watch anyways.

It's almost they would accept if we offer them to play one on one.

Can't really say much based on this competition other than that his shot looked pretty good.

It really gotta suck to play a game of leisure with a guy who shoots every time he gets basketball.

Lol, it's just a fun offseason thread. Not sure why people are taking it so seriously. We're basketball starved right now and both the number 1 and number 2 pick played and played well.

As a Magic fan, I'm just happy we drafted a guy who wants to be the guy to take the shots, even if the game truly doesn't matter. I also like what I keep seeing from both top picks. Wasn't posting the highlights as a confirmation that he's the GOAT or something. Just sharing his awesome highlights and I'm excited about it.

Yeah I stopped watching the game on LP because of Banchero, he was standing still dribbling 10 times before every shot like it 1 vs 1. Same with Mcdaniels, Chet was chilling giving his teammates the ball, picks, roll etc. He was playing with his team before he at times shot 3s,post moves when he got bored with Banchero almost never passing the ball.
The guy that didn't try to outshine the short amateur teammates impressed me more. :)

       This is the dumbest complaint ever and I've seen some stuff here. If anything that #13 guy on the team jacked up like 15 shots for no reason.

I saw at least 5-10 possessions where Chet had people open and 1v3'd people and never gave a ****.. WHY? because that's what you do in open runs. Go at your guy. Show why you're an NBA player. I'll give credit for him being tenacious on defense 'cause he didn't have to do that, but let's not act like these guys aren't supposed to do exactly what they did.

edit: I typed "Banchero ballhog" "Banchero pass" on Twitter and nothing shows up because it's not even a big deal

Not a real game, but nothing has changed my mind that Banchero is the better bet long term.

Go at your guy ? I watched much more possessions than 5, I did say Chet went 1 vs 1 too.

It is just a lightweight summer game that Banchero was way too aggressive. More fun seeing those other guys trying to shine because they will never be on NBA tv,league pass again. Banchero isn't cool or awesome for trying hard to dominate a regular Joe.
I didn't say anything about his NBA chances, I don't care which rookie becomes the best this season, I was just looking for fun summer game, imho his style was boring tv even when everyone else was playing 1 vs 1. Chet taking easy for many possessions was better tv because I'm not use to seeing short dudes trying to play vs NBA guys. :)
