What are your most awkward NBA signings/trades?

Post#1 » by marson » Mon Aug 1, 2022 5:22 pm

Alright folks, what are your awkward FA signings/trades ever? As a Heat fan, this one didn't happen.

This is like Wizards MJ and Shaq's PHX/Cavs/Celtics that didn't happen too.

Edit: Forgot that Parker played with the Hornets

Trades can be also mentioned in the thread

Ben Wallace to the Bulls was a weird one - I remember he was not allowed to wear a headband there for some reason which made him angry, and it just never worked out.

Bagged that 60 mil thou. Which would be an average contract now for a role player :o

Never happened, but I wished Chicago traded Noah to Cleveland, I thought that would have been funny.

Magic signing Biyombo for a 4 year, $72 million deal after having already traded Sabonis and Victor Oladipo to OKC for Ibaka was an awkward off season signing, and in hindsight, a bad trade as well.

Never understood that move.
You break the bank to sign Josh Smith to a team that already had Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe?

The amount of scrubs that got paid life setting money that offseason was insane. So many stupid teams hurt themselves lol.

Iverson grit fitted with Detroit as well. If he only had been there much early in his career.

Did Biyombo and Ibaka share the floor together?

Patrick Beverly tweeting out his excitement for his new team and then getting traded again immediately should be an annual event.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Wait, which team is it? Just focus on the Heat during the RS. I did not get this news.

Last offseason Beverly was traded to the Grizz. Tweeted how pumped he was and then was immediately traded to the Wolves. This season he has so far been traded to the Jazz but I don’t know if he commented on it.

Definitely this. Josh Smith going to the Pistons with a frontcourt of Monroe and Drummond already there was something I would say was bad AI logic if it happened in 2k
