Bichette should have had that SB. That was a heck of a throw by the catcher to get him.

I have no issue with him at all. He's much better than most out there at baseball.

Christ I hate the Rays.

Hopefully Gaus can have some fast innings after that. And wait I saw Ross say Merrifield is still "working through the process" as far as vaccination goes? lmao

Ross is definitely not gonna publicly comment on that. I'm sure they got some assurance he'd get vaccinated before doing the deal though.

As far as Gausman, the splitter looks off right now.

It's definitely far more inconsistent than in 2021 and at the beginning of 2022. Would make more sense if it was consistently off because you might suspect it's the baseball or grip, but I'm not quite sure what to make of him going through stretches where it's one of the league's best out pitches, interspersed with spells where he can't get any sort of movement on it.

No clue at all what Lourdes is doing there on a play right in front of him with Vlad on deck. What a horrible baserunner.

Probably felt guilty getting the flukiest hit imaginable. Had to make things right.

Have run into 3 outs now in these 4 innings. Rays clearly stole a sign somehow on that Chapman one.
