Re: More Free Agent Talk
It's reported that the Warriors are among the teams interested in signing Carmelo Anthony.
If he's willing to be a role player with limited minutes, he'd be a good fit. He can shoot and play both forward positions.
I'd like it more than paying Iguodala to not play.

If you’re referring to the HoopsHype blurb with some unnamed GM spitballing Golden State as a possible destination for Melo, the word “reported” is doing a lot of work in your first sentence.
Unless you have some other source.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

This is the worst time of year to be an NBA fan.

It's not known whether it's guaranteed or perhaps partially guaranteed like Austin Rivers is.

I still believe in Jessup.
Nicco I've never had any faith in though

They may make it to or back to the NBA, but it won't be in the immediate future.

Jessup and Nico had NBA level upsides but they had below NBA level downsides.Every now and then you get a Draymond level player out of a 2nd round pick. NBA teams have no problem moving on from their failed 2nd round picks but the fans get addicted to the upside potential of draft picks and have a harder time letting go.
Warriors management showed more interest in Smailigic then they have shown in Jessup and Nico. Smailigic must have been closer to NBA ready than Jessup and Nico were.

I think for Smiley it was mostly size.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
The Warriors traded away 4 or so 2nd round picks in that time (since Draymond) and that's going to lower their chances.

I'd add Aldridge over Cousins. I prefer Iggy takes on a Haslem role though.

I too like Iggy for that role. The reason I want Boogie over Aldridge is similar to Iggy. He knows how we play what the system is. He knows Steph, Klay and Green and can be in their ears. Less than Iggy but more than a stranger. I’m also not expecting him to play but he’d be a great person to teach Wiseman.

Meh Cousins played for like half a season with GSW in the KD-centered offense.
LA played for pop so I doubt he would have a particularly difficult time adjusting to GSW. Also Cousins' game was heavily dependent on being athletic, while LA has a ton more skill/shooting. Would much rather Wiseman to take after LA's offense game than Cousins'.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
Problem with both is neither can stay on the floor in crunch time because of defense.
They have to accept that in the playoffs, they probably won't get many minutes, if any at all.

I like how half of the NBA think their team is going to sign Wiggins next year. He's becoming the top free agent next year with the issues with Kyrie and Harden.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
Per wiretap/athletic:
The Golden State Warriors are hosting several veteran free agents for workouts this week, including Ben McLemore, Elfrid Payton, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Kenneth Faried.
The Warriors had Avery Johnson and Langston Galloway as part of pre-camp scrimmages last season.
The Warriors are expected to fill their open training camp roster spot out of the free agents coming to the Bay Area.
Mac McClung, Jerome Robinson, Trevion Williams and Pat Spencer make up the young group of non-guaranteed camp invitees also competing for the back end of the Warriors’ roster.
