What was Wayman Tisdale’s game like?

Offensively, defensively, etc. when he was in his prime with Indiana and Sacramento, and post-prime with Phoenix.

Undersized wide body post up scorer with decent midrange game who didn't work hard on defense. Coming out of college, I thought he'd have Barkley's pro career and Barkley would have his, but Tisdale seemed to care more about his music than being the best player he could be and Barkley played with far more heart and fire than I thought he would from his college career.

This sounds about right. I remember a smooth (short)-mid-range jump shot (he was money from 10-15', iirc), a nice turnaround in the post.
And yeah: the music. I recall an episode of NBA Inside Stuff showcasing Tisdale and his smooth saxophone.

Hmm......any idea who I'm remembering then?

EDIT: Maybe I'm remembering a clip of a recording session and someone ELSE was playing sax???

I can safely tell you that he was an outstanding bass player. :)
