1991 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Sedale Threatt, Eddie Johnson, Shawn Kemp and Benoit Benjamin - vs. Portland

1992 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Ricky Pierce, Derrick McKey, Michael Cage and Shawn Kemp - vs. Golden State, Utah

1993 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Ricky Pierce, Derrick McKey, Sam Perkins and Shawn Kemp - vs. Utah, Houston, Phoenix

1994 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Kendall Gill, Detlef Schrempf, Michael Cage and Shawn Kemp - vs. Denver

1995 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Nate McMillan, Detlef Schrempf, Shawn Kemp and Ervin Johnson - vs. L.A. Lakers

1996 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Hersey Hawkins, Detlef Schrempf, Shawn Kemp and Ervin Johnson - vs. Sacramento, Houston, Utah, Chicago

1997 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Hersey Hawkins, Detlef Schrempf, Sam Perkins and Shawn Kemp - vs. Phoenix, Houston

1998 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Hersey Hawkins, Jerome Kersey, Detlef Schrempf and Vin Baker - vs. Minnesota, L.A. Lakers

These were the starting lineups the Sonics mostly used during their respective playoff runs. So which Sonics playoff starting lineup do you consider to be the best and worst, ranked from top to bottom?

Best - 1997 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Hersey Hawkins, Detlef Schrempf, Sam Perkins and Shawn Kemp - vs. Phoenix, Houston
(Great spacing and all can produce their on offense if needed)
Worst - 1992 Playoffs: Gary Payton, Ricky Pierce, Derrick McKey, Michael Cage and Shawn Kemp - vs. Golden State, Utah
(Horrible spacing, One reliable shooter but better defense)

I don't know about best, but 1991 is by far my favorite

Best: 1995 Payton and Kemp in their primes, and McMillen upgrades the starting lineup over other sg options. Of course the big limitation is that they don't have McMillen available as a high minute PG/SG/SF bench option, but for just the starting 5 IMO it's the best one.

Worst: !991 Payton and Kemp more pre-prime with room for growth. Iffy on Benjamin as well (though really Perkins is the only good non-Kemp big option).
