what a concept, right
Lol, get over yourself., some "crime" is the last thing what its about, under normal circumstances cops would light one up with her, there is no way a basketball star in Russia goes to prison over weed, these girls go to Russia for a reason - They get paid and treated well in the rich top clubs, simple. But February 22 is a hell of a bad time to be carrying potentially dangerous for yourself., she should have known her status at the time.
She got 9 years so her value as a bargaining chip would be higher. Doesnt suprise me, Russia is a sad morally corupt place bereft of any standards, as are majority of Russians.
It can be hard to fully grasp how it is to live in a country where news, media, perception, everything is controlled or there is an attempt to control it. Many of the Russian people are also partly victims, not all by any means, and not fully victims of course.
One of the toughest situations for people is living in Ukraine and having Russian relatives, telling them, "this is what is happening on the ground", but their media, news, everything is painting a totally different narrative and telling them people saying otherwise are bad, and your relatives who have known you your whole life believe their news reports over you.
Russia has a history of this, I just dont believe that Putin and his media are that all powerful that that is the main part of the equation, people like him just keep coming, except for Gorby (God bless him) and unfortunately Yeltsin, psychopath after psychopath after psychopath..
Yes situations like these are painful indeed, there are many Ukranian refugees here in the Northern Moravia.
Articles like this are quite telling
