Thanks for the link. I hope we can get match updates like perhaps on the first post like we do on NBA Game Day of which team plays which, results, links, etc.

I thought Embiid would play for the France National Team once he got the French passport

A short clip from the Serbian NT's camp, Jokic looks to be in a great shape.

Hey, I always claim Eurobasket threads on GB, and in the past always made extravagant first post. But sadly now I am a working man and exhibit A why capitalism is broken, they work me like a horse. That said, I will try my best to make thread and op informative, but I have limited time here.

I am surprised you are into Eurobasket, aren't you Canadian?

France lost another giant to thigh injury. 7'3 center Moustapha Fall to miss Eurobasket. They recently announced that Victor Wembanyama will also not play because of thigh injury.

Hey, thanks, anything you can do would be great. Mods also can edit posts and if you're ok with it, there can be an update-by-commitee where we all know where to look. Sometimes results get lost in a thread. But it's just an idea. You can all handle it however you feel is best.

I'm Canadian by citizenship but I have dual from Europe as well since I was born there and we immigrated some time ago. I like the Euro competitions of basketball and footy when I can watch them. I'm able to see more games this fall and with more names I recognize playing it's a good time to get into the competition.

I was in England years ago when it hosted the Euro Championships for footy. What spectacular madness!

My easy prediction for France, knowing the injuries of Wemby and Albicy.

PG : Thomas Heurtel (Real Madrid) , Théo Maledon (OKC), Frank Ntilikina (Dallas),
SG : Evan Fournier (NYC), Elie Okobo (Monaco, ex ASVEL this season).
SF : William Howard (ASVEL), Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot (Atlanta)
PF : Amath Mbaye (Anadolu Efes), Guerschon Yabusele (Real Madrid).
C : Vincent Poirier (Real Madrid), Mouhammadou Jaiteh (Bologna), Rudy Gobert (Minnesota)

9 out of 12 play or have played in the NBA. With Nando de Colo and Batum resting this summer, i see the rising of Okobo offensively, Fournier having more importance ! Too bad for Wembanyama ...

Papers are one thing, then he needs to be registered as a french player by FIBA whenever France sends a list of players for a competition to play. but for now he's injured. 2024 is the main goal

Because he thinks he's better than he is. Back to Insep and then Poitiers (his first pro team, was the leader and they finish last... a career looser)

I always thought he played well for France, unlike some players like Bellineli for Italy, who had talent, bus was either asked to do too much or just thought he could do too much, and always played awful. DeColo and FOurnier always were similar players and real leaders for France, I never saw him as low IQ chucker.

I have serious doubts people actually watch games, The way people say things make them ignorant to even have a proper approach towards a discussion.

Here you have a video of slovenian youngsters just having some fun(Samar - '01 -> Ščuka '02 -> Glas '01)

Read on Twitter

I wouldn't be shocked if Samar is one of the best guards in Europe in 3-4 years, his basketball IQ/playmaking is just of the charts

Anyone else feeling a slight red flag with Wembanyama already out because of injury?

I'm would be so wary about drafting him with a superhigh pick. Guys this tall just can't seem to stay healthy. I don't know the details of the injury, but if i have a top pick i'm definitely looking for someone else.

I already said it earlier in this thread: i think he is not playing to ensure that he will be the no.1 pick in the draft. He could only damage his reputation if he plays. If he hides until the draft he ll go no.1 100%.
That s why i m not buying his injury.
