What's the deal, Jesus is now going to start ahead of Smith Rowe?

He is definitely starting, not sure over who. Rowe can play CAM or winger, right?

I think they see Jesus as more of a Lacazette replacement, so he'll be playing ahead of Nketiah. He can cover the wings as well, if they feel like playing Jesus and Nketiah together.

Smith-Rowe's main competition is Odegaard and Fabio Viera, imo.

I really hate the linesman rule, where they won't flag until the end of the sequence in case someone scores and it can be checked by VAR. That is assuming that he noticed the ball was out by a mile.

Ben Godfrey has just picked up a horror injury as a result of a sequence of play that should not have happened.

Smith Rowe didn't play at all yesterday from what I can tell.

I'm watching Amazon Prime's All or Nothing on Arsenals season last year.

They feature a lot of Saka and Smith Rowe, like they're the future of the club.

They will feature Aubameyang leaving the club later but they show videos of Smith Rowe at 15 dribbling like a prodigy.

He was the second leading scorer last season so if his role changes it would be interesting.

I see that Klopp blamed the dry pitch for Liverpool dropping 2 points. Biggest whinger in the league going for 4th consecutive title.

Smith Rowe is fine, but I never saw him as some kind of superstar prospect. He just a guy who is versatile offensively, but I doubt he has world class potential,

I know how highly Arsenal think of those players. I'm just saying Jesus mostly plays a different position, they're not really in competition with each other.

Smith Rowe's competition is Martinelli on the left wing. I had wanted to see Smith Rowe on the left, Odegaard in the middle, and Saka on the right with Martinelli as the 9, but with the addition of Jesus that's mostly out the door. ESR is dealing with a groin issue, but I'd expect those two to alternate quite frequently until someone grabs hold of that spot full time. First steps first though, ESR has to be available.

I thought whinger was some modern variant of whining because people misspelled or misspoke.

Turns out the usage goes back to 12th century.

So it may be an old misspelling rather than a modern one.

Scorte seems like modern slang, obviously from scrotum.

Todd Boehly seems to have more money than sense. Hope he continues to negotiate for Chelsea.

One of the reasons I love hanging out in the soccer forums is because in Sweden we learn classic, modern British English in school and Brit crime TV is big here but feels different reading, learning old words or new slang used by football fans here. Whinger sounds awesome. Of course we know the "classics " like Wanker. :)

Now that Forest are in the prem (for 1 season) you'll learn all about Tossers, bin-dippers, dickheads and the rest.

Dickheads is commonly used in the States. The word Tossers however is very much a British term.
