I wouldn't be shocked if Samar is one of the best guards in Europe in 3-4 years, his basketball IQ/playmaking is just of the charts

How tall is he?
He looks tiny.

197cm, that's what.. 6'5? Also he's an extremly hard worker.

Here's a picture of him, the guy standing next to him is listed at 2,03m, also on the left you have Sengun and Garuba

I'm would be so wary about drafting him with a superhigh pick. Guys this tall just can't seem to stay healthy. I don't know the details of the injury, but if i have a top pick i'm definitely looking for someone else.

already been plagued by injuries, small injuries but yeah. This is not a hot take you making, kid is 7'5 face up style athlete, everyone worries he will be injured more time than not. I am not buying that hes hiding his crappy game, he has entire season ahead of him. Its a shame he ran away from Euroleague like a female dog, but no one is drafting him based on Euro performances.

You misunderstood me! I m not saying that he is not good! I m just saying he could potentially damage his reputation by playing and he can not improve his reputation by playing because he already is going first 100%.

I cannot fathom that Slovenia is leading this poll.

The whole year is ahead of us, lots of things can happen, we have few very good forward sized, guard skills players in this mock, if they explode, Wemby can be bumped, I think there is always thing to gain by playing. I really dont buy that his injury is bogus, I think on France NT he would have been an insane fit as basically a ridiculous size power forward, but sadly we not gonna see that.

They have the best player in the tournament. Maybe Jokic can challenge that statement.
Slovenia is also leading the fiba-power rankings. It is not too much of a stretch putting Slovenia at No.1

Well Jokic is not just a challenger to Doncic, he's a better player and Doncic has to catch up with Jokic, not vice versa.

Slovenia's team is not at the same level as Serbia and will show during the tournament.

No, they don't. Both Giannis and Jokic are a tier above.

giannis has never had a mvp type of impact in fiba competitions. the lack of spacing around him has hurt his game.

Doncic in his first olympic game scored almost twice as much as Giannis career high in FIBA. Jokic and Giannis improved a ton since we last saw them in FIBA, but how they will fare is yet to be seen, Doncic we know is all time great there already,

They aren't a tier above, they are better in the NBA, but not tier above, we know how Luka's game to FIBA, we don't know about the Jokic and Giannis.

Same things were said in '19 for his NBA career.
We saw how this turned out.
And that's only for offense.
There's not a discussion about defense.

Giannis was always WAY better in the NBA, than playing for Greece, I am not sure it will change. Luka is probably best FIBA player we have seen in the past few decades, but yeah, you got 2 guys tier above that, ok.

Yes it is ok, since I'm taking with a Giannis doubter(if not a hater) for way too long. I remember your past posts.
And no, Doncic isn't the best FIBA player in decades unless you started watching FIBA basketball after 2015.
Sobiet Union and Yugoslavia along with underdogs like Dirk or Schmitt or Galis have presented legends.
Eurobaskets, world championships.
History didn't start in 2015.

Name me better FIBA players thatn Doncic since 2002, I want to see your opinion.

You claim that Giannis had same problems in the NBA< but last time he played in FIBA in 2019, and compare his NBA numbers and FIBA numbers that year, it literally shrinks in half, he is 14.8 ppg. scorer for Greece. So what will be different now, he still can't shoot and they will pack the paint on him. Giannis hasn't proven he is better than Kirilenko in FIBA yet, like at all, and you put him tier above Luka, who is absolutely insane? I am not saying it can't happen, but it is very unlikely, the bar is all timer already and both Jokic and Giannis need to prove they are FIBA superstars which they havent done yet. I like Jokic at least is reasonable guess that he will be insane, he truly improved since 2019 and his playing style fits FIBA. Giannis however I am not optimistic at all, i I would much rather face Giannis in this than Luka, we open the championship against Slovenia, and I am already writting that off as an L.

I dont think Parker treated him unfairly at all, quite the opposite. Earlier in the year Victor was getting a lot of minutes I didn't think he deserved, they played him cause he was a local kid, guy was awful, but still was entitled to think he deserves a bigger role somehow. He was getting minutes and improving the whole season.
