I feel like that 5-8 group is pretty interchangeable. And who knows what the Nets will be. But overall the list seems reasonable to me.

Honestly this isn’t that bad. I might switch the Bulls and the Cavs depending on team health but no real complaints here. Also glad that ESPN is giving Toronto and Atlanta their due as 2nd tier playoff teams.

Can't see the Magic only winning 23 games if Isaac, Fultz, and Suggs are all healthy next season.

Nets to me are fascinating because they could miss that figure by 15 either way and I wouldn't be surprised

Everything looks kinda oke.
Only question is about WSH.
They have less wins then last year with Beal missing half of the season.Would put them before Hornets with all that Bridges crap

Re: ESPN's Eastern Conference Projected Win-Loss Records
Looks like a fair projection. i could see any of the teams from 7-9 jump up to the non-play in group.
I think Miami is the most likely of the top 4 to drop just due to age of their main guys

Looks alright I guess. I personally wouldn't be surprised at any order 1-9 end up in aside from Miami Boston or Milwaukee ending up in the play-in.

I have Washington and Indiana higher, Cleveland lower
Sam Hinkie gets removed from the league for enacting a plan approved by the fanbase yet NIco Harrison and Patrick Dumont keep their job for alienating their fanbase. Make it make sense.

I'd be tempted to take the over on the 76ers, but a lot of their roster is geared towards the postseason

If Hornets miss the playoffs (again) then sh*t is about to get ugly for LaMelo Ball.

Outside of Miami and possibly Atlanta, I'd be tempted to take the over on everyone else in the top 6

League parity is pretty good right now. There are a handful of likely tankers, but it’s gonna be really tough for anyone to win over 55 games unless they’re extraordinarily lucky with lack of injuries.

Re: ESPN's Eastern Conference Projected Win-Loss Records
Last year ESPN predicted:
Nets #1
Lakers #3
Celtics #13
Grizzlies #14
Bulls #19
Raptors #20
Clearly a reliable indicator of how the season will play out.

Re: ESPN's Eastern Conference Projected Win-Loss Records
I do think Tor/ ATL a little high by a few games, I just think the bottom of the conference has improved a lot the past couple of years. Lot of good talent on the Non play in teams. Orl, Det, Cha, Wash all have Legit all star level talent, and if Haliburton takes good step so does Indiana. One team will make a leap, just have no idea who.

Re: ESPN's Eastern Conference Projected Win-Loss Records
The media always rank the Wizards too low on years where they will be decent and too high on years they are obvious paper tigers. Next year, both KP and Beal will be ranked top 30 players; Deni and Kisp will prove how valuable they are as role players; and their defense is going to be much better with Wright and Taj versus Ish and Bertans.
PS before Dinwiddie decided to literally quit for a dozen games in order to get traded, the Wiz weren’t half bad, the start of last year. Without major injury, the Wiz will be in the playoffs, next season. And they will be players to trade for a star to put with Beal and KP until trade deadline.

Re: ESPN's Eastern Conference Projected Win-Loss Records
I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto wins more regular season games just simply because of the interchangeability in their roster. It makes them resistant to injuries. They could finish with a top 4 record but I do think they will struggle more in the playoffs if they don't get a star primary scorer.

Atlanta over Cleveland? Gotta think about that one.
I think Giannis gets the 1 seed over us. We'll see how Middleton gets back into the grind and how we incorporate Gallinari I guess.

Re: ESPN's Eastern Conference Projected Win-Loss Records
I still think Philly is going to be higher, like 53'ish
And as everybody knows, the Nets are a giant variable. Even with a gun to my head I couldn't give a prediction +/- 15 margin of error and feel confident on surviving.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Seems like the most reasonable thing ever released by ESPN lol. I would only really switch Washington and Charlotte record wise.
