This game didn't show anything. Spain with B team and 0 preparation for Greece. I would like to see Giannis playing similarly against Gobert camping in the paint without 3 seconds defensive rule.

Look at previous Spain's roster and tell me that they have similar quality. It's a worse roster in last 25 years. And more importantly they didn't have any plan to stop Giannis, because that isn't an objective for preparation games. All teams in Eurobasket will clog the paint against Greece.

Spain for sure has a worse team than in previous years but that's due to age. Just like Argentina is now using the "B team" without Ginobili, Scola, Nocioni...

The supporting cast is not what it used to be in the Diamantidis/Spanoulis era, but judging from yesterday they play tough D, they run and move the ball well. Not ready to say Greece is in the medals but they will be tough for anyone who draws them in the elimination rounds.

Its hard to explain to NBA fans but for a lot of those guys these games mean more than the NBA. For millions of fans too (myself included)

Yea Itoudis has a track record of getting the best out of somewhat limited players, like Kyle Hines, Bolomboy etc. That's why I think a guy like Kostas Antetokumbu will benefit from that system. Calathes and Sloukas give the Greeks really solid and experienced guard play too.

He is, that why I am saying this. If this was Biyombo fumbling everything he touches, I woundt act surprise, but this guy Domantas Sabonis, man does he make stupid passes when I watch him play for his country. Maybe he underrates competition, but man, he can overflare his passes to asinine degree. I dont watch him often in the NBA, but I said this in game threads, it seems like every time I would watch him in Indiana (I dont think I have seen a single game of his in Sacramento), he always has a bad game. Like if you asked me, Brogdon - easily best Indiana player before that trade. I know Sabonis puts up stats, but it is just my luck to watch a fellow Lithuanian, that every time I see him, he kinda sucks in the game.

I agree about the supporting cast, but I disagree about labeling it the "Diamantidis/Spanoulis era" if anything that was the Papaloukas era. He was the leader/most important player in those successful teams and with the most great matches in the big wins and comebacks.
