Two things i love the most...my family and Boston Celtics. And on Sunday...just few hours apart...first my mother died, then Bill Russell
There's only one statistics that's important: who won...Bill Russell

A legend lost. The Finals loss stings even harder, that he couldn't have seen us win one more. RIP

I'm sorry for your loss. It's impossible to understand how much it hurts to lose your mom, until it happens. Feels like a piece of you is just gone.

Man. His smile. and that laugh too. He's gotta have one of the best smiles of all time. You see Bill smile and it just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, at least that's what happens to me :)

Wish Bill could have seen the C's get 1 more title, but we have to win it this year now. Every team will be wearing a Russell patch and every arena will have his number by the scorers table.

Great news. Should have been done right after MLB retired 42.

I don't agree with retiring numbers, either by leagues or teams. But if anyone deserved such an award, it would be Russell.

Well deserved. Let's hope that the Lakers, raptors, heat and 76ers have to hang a number 6 Celtics jersey in their arenas.
