Darius Garland makes it so easy for him.

Which is fine... Mobley was more glorified for his defensive presence this year anyway. Either way what he showed was spectacular and very deserving of the praise he received. He may not have been as good as Scottie but he was still one of the best rookies in NBA history and thats saying alot.

It's not a knock to him, Mobley would of easily been the ROTY on our team lol.

Mobley, Franz, Barnes, Cade are all in the same tier for me.

I got Mobley, Barnes and Green in the same tier as far as longterm potential goes. Maybe Cade to but I just don't think he has that dog in him to work as hard as that first group.

Interesting, I think he does. Cade probably breaks away from the other 3 imo and solidifies himself as the best player this upcoming year.

He’ll solidify himself as the best rapper. Really though, he might have the biggest breakout statistically but I still think Scottie will be more impactful.

Cade/Barnes/Mobley/Green are the walmart version of Wade/LeBron/Bosh/Melo....I think Barnes becomes the best out of all cause he can impact the game in so many different ways.

I think Mobley has a chance to be way better than Bosh. Cade a lesser Wade and Green similar to Carmelo. Health will be a factor for these guys...all have had minor injury issues that I don't remember that 2003 class having early on.

As far as Lebron/Barnes, yeah, I can't see Barnes putting up the same raw numbers as Lebron, but I can see him being a Jokic-like frontcourt playmaker...with a sprinkling of Lebron and Magic. The sky is the limit with him, but the path to sustained dominance isn't obvious.

I’m biased and feel the same way especially because of our organization and their ability to develop players.

But to me Cade is just a great prospect, in college he was expected to do so much, he had to carry that OSU team almost every night and he did. He played with such a mature pace, he would try get his team going and then in the second half he would step up. Felt like every week he made a clutch shot or clutch pass. Had we got Cade im telling you he’s a superstar. But in Detroit it is a bit more murky/hazy, he’ll get there but it’ll probably take him a couple years to figure out how to be more consistently efficient on offense.

Is Cade full-time pg to you?

That’s the role I would put him in. He has great vision, can make timely passes, I think molding him into a playmaking guard with high scoring ability is ideal. He can be secondary ball handler in spurts when Ivey and Hayes run the ball (I think Kemba is getting moved some time this season) but I think they see him as a Luka type one day. I think that should be the ultimate goal.

Thing is he was getting credit for Jared Allen. Allen is the defensive anchor not Mobley and it showed when Allen went out.

I just want to know why Scottie's base is so wide he shoots 3.

Agree. Still looks like a push shot to me. The mechanics are not automatic yet. Some days they look good, others they dont.

Just needs more reps. It will come.

you noticed it too, eh? :D
if i remember correctly wasn't there discussion last year about how he uses his upper body when he shoots and started tranistioning to use his legs more? i'm guessing that's a transitional phase instruction to establish a good base to utilize his legs more.

that corner shot looks janky af lol, I'm telling you man .. the only time his jumpshot looks mechanically tight is when he's fading away from someone contesting his shot

Provided it goes in. Repetition is key. Shawn Marion and Reggie Miller made a lot of 3's with their form.

The boy is working. Give him credit. Negative fans

Franz?! Lol no…he’s not.

He’s more in Giddey, Kuminga (only guy who might move up imo) & Green’s tier. All-Star but not Top 10 potential like Scottie, Evan & Cade.

Franz is defintely there, he's going to be a walking 50/40/90 guy.
