T-pups SUCK.

Just for fun, how do you guard us? Jokic guards Gobert who guards Towns? How do you out rebound us? Are you gonna reign 3s with a 5 out and bench Jokic? I doubt it, but it would be fun to see. The question is who is better than the Nuggets this year but you are intolerant of any discussion of any team other than Nuggets. How does one answer when they cannot speak about the other 14?

LMAO, you really should learn about a team before trolling. Maybe you don't realize it, but MPJ measured in at 6'!1" at the combine when he was 19 and looks like he grew another inch, he is more than prepared to guard Gobert, and actually considering his big weakness against bigs is when they post him up, he will do just fine against KAT as well. If he gets in foul trouble, then we have NNaji off the bench who is also 6'11" and graded out as our 2nd best perimeter defender last year before he got injured. Even better we have Gordon who can guard 2/3s, Russell is guarded by KCP, and Murray can capably guard both.

The real question is who guards the Nuggets? Jokic has a long history of tearing up both KAT and Gobert, Murray and Jokic when last active had the most effective 2 man game in the league. MPJ has a career 63.1% TS%, KCP shot 42% from 3 on spot ups last year, hell even Gordon shot 36% on spot up 3s last year and is reportedly working on that right now. Off the bench we got even more defense and shooters.

There is really 4 very funny things about you trying to troll here.

Last year the Twolves had the 2nd least amount of games missed in the league last year due to injury or covid with about 155 missed, the Nuggets had the 2nd most by teams not tanking last year with over 360 (and that is with trading 2 guys out for the season at the deadline which would have had them 1st overall for games missed). The odds that the Twolves will be that healthy or that the Nuggets will be that unhealthy next year are low, yet we still finished above you in the standings.

Last year by all reports Beverly was the emotional and vocal leader of your team, he is gone, but who fills the void? Russell and KAT have long proven not to be leaders, Gobert was not even close to a leader in Utah and reportedly not well liked by teammates, Slo-MO has never been known as a leader, so are they all going to listen to 2nd year Edwards? Is he ready or even able to lead? Are his teammates with years more of experience going to pay attention when he talks?

Your backup 2 and 3 next year appear to be our 3rd string from last year, the thing is we had the 2nd worst bench in the league throughout the 1st 2/3rds of the season with it only turning around when Bones took over, we signed Reed to a two way and started playing him, and we signed Cousins. We upgraded both of them with a proven starter from a playoff team last year who is a considerably better scorer and ball handler then either and re-signing Reed who outplayed both last year down the final stretch of the season.

Tim Connelly has a blind spot, it is something that every Nuggets fan knows deep down, it is something that has kept us from being a true contender since Gary Harris got hurt. Connelly does not value perimeter defense, especially guard defense. From what I see you guys lost 4 of your top 5 perimeter defenders since last season, you replaced them with a guy known as slow mo who has always struggled to keep up with quick guards, and Austin Rivers who is only effective against a handful of guys. IN a league where 42% of all shots are from 18 feet out, who is going to defend those guys?

Fact is if I were you I would be embarrassed by your post, putting the Twolves 1st while they have proven nothing at this point? Not just over the Nuggets which is stupid to start with, but over the Warriors who just won a championship, over the Suns, over the Clippers? Nobody considers the Twolves contenders outside of the biggest Twolves homers out there. Then trying to say that we have nobody to cover your two bigs, when we start 3 true bigs, two of whom are quick enough to play SF as well, talk about knowing nothing about a team when you are trolling. It is bad enough that you came over to try to brag about getting our scrubs that nobody wanted back, but then to follow that up with this post just makes you look sad and ignorant, I actually feel bad for you.

Honestly not trying to troll you guys. I don’t know why you think Forbes or Rivers are second string, that is just factually incorrect, but whatever. I don’t know why you think Joker owns KAT when the numbers are about even historically, but whatever. I don’t know why you think Ant and Rudy cannot be leaders. You might be right that we guys miss fewer games, but if you saw us play Ant was basically a non factor for all of February and most of March and KAT was dealing with like 5 different injuries all season (the list is quite shocking when you look at it.)

I actually like your off-season so far and acknowledge you got better besides getting healthier. Brown and KCP will help your defense, and you cleared more playing time for Bones. I never meant for this to be adversarial. I also didn’t think calling you guys 3rd or 4th best in the west heading into the season was an insult. I could speak more to your Wolves attacks but I don’t know how much time I should going in depth, apparently that is frowned on here. I genuinely thought that when you made a thread talking about the west you would welcome outsiders, but I guess not.

Showing up on another team's thread and talking up your team and their team down is trolling, you cannot be so dense to not know that.

Go ask Jazz fans if Gobert is a leader.

The Nuggets and every team in the league had guys playing hurt, every team. Every player plays through injuries every year, some are more effective than others but either way it doesn't change the fact that you guys were the 2nd healthiest in the league. Do you really expect that to happen again? The Nuggets lost 6 guys for the season last year, do you think that is going to happen again? If you say you do you are a fool.

The last time the Nuggets were healthy we were in the Western Conference finals, since then we replaced Harris and upgraded old man Millsap, the only time our best 4 players were healthy we won 9 games in a row and were blowing out the Warriors when they took out Murray. To act like 4th is a big deal shows your ignorance.

As for Wolves attacks? Telling the truth is an attack now?

Do you know why we had to go get KCP, sign Brown, and draft 2 SG/SFs? Barton (who your current GM repeatedly re-signed and protected reportedly to the point of forcing Malone to start him), Rivers, and Forbes were all so bad we had to totally rebuild the position, think about all that before coming here to troll. You celebrated signing 2 guys who the current front office thought were so bad that their entire offseason was focused on replacing them.

We are open to knowledgeable people who want to talk about the western conference, no board on RealGM is all that open to trolls who know nothing about their team and want to brag about their team. Especially when that team somehow managed to be tied for 13th best overall last year despite being far healthier than several teams that ended up above them, The fact that you stole the worst GM we have had in 20 years and celebrated, along with his assistants, then signed a couple of our 3rd stringers and acted like they signed Lebron James and Kevin Durant, you also celebrated him trading his future draft picks (the only thing he is good at) for a 2nd center for rim protection while destroying your perimeter defense. The saddest part of all this is that you actually expected us to give you detailed breakdowns about our end of bench scrubs and yourself said that you can see them being the backup guards now you act like it is impossible they are your bench?

By the way I know this is hard for you, but you are far from the 1st team to have two guys 6'11" or taller to start. Not even the 1st team that had 1 of them a scorer and one of them a defender who can shoot, hell teams have been trying that throughout the history of the league. Usually one of the them is a solid or better man to man defender, and the other a good help defender, and the defender could at least hit a mid range shot. The 76ers just tried it with a defender that had the handles to be their PG but couldn't shoot and a do it all scoring big that is also a very good help defender, they made the 2nd round repeatedly. The Nuggets currently have an couple of guys that fit classic championship teams. Our big one is a hell of an offense by himself and the other one hell of a shooter. ONe is a good help defender, the other is a very good man to man defender. I think ours is better than yours, and I think you overrate the hell out of yours.

Again you seem to have this idea of me that is incorrect and I don’t know why. I didn’t brag about our signing your former players I sought to learn more about them. I asked questions. There was never an intent to troll. In fact I had a very positive experience on this board when we did the Beasley, V8 trade and we (me and some of you,) talked about the guys each team was getting. To your second point I didn’t stumble randomly into your board, I was looking at western conference teams boards for news and I saw a thread talking about the west. It seemed like a place where discussing the west is welcome. I have been very hesitant to go into detail or expand/explain my position because apparently it is frowned upon to talk about my team in such a thread. I will refrain from doing so again not because I have nothing to say, but because it seems unwelcome. Maybe a private message chat if you want actual responses.

I guess the moral of the story is to just avoid this forum. I genuinely just wanted to talk about basketball but for the most part (some of you were very knowledgeable and friendly in the other thread,) I have been met with a mix of hostility and agitation. Good luck to you guys.

Your welcome, but it isn't just for you.

Maybe I have been spending too much time on the general board and reddit lately, but I am so tired of hearing about the Twolves. They think they won the offseason, but we know the truth.

Connelly's so **** overrated, I said that he was the worst of the last 20 years and I stand by that. I don't get his fascination with combo guards and undersized stretch 4s but **** we ended up with a half dozen of each. He was constantly talking about rim protection despite usually being top 5 for lowest points in the paint in the league and bottom 5 for long 2s and average for 3s, and his answer is signing G leaguers and spending his money on PFs. Now that it has been reported that Connelly was the Barton protector that refused to get rid of him and forced Malone to start him, I really am tired of hearing about his dumb ass. Kiki made 1 huge mistake but was overall better. The 3 headed Bearup clan made a mistake on Iverson but fixed it with Billups, not their fault that Karl got sick and Melo wanted to go to New York for his brand. Ujiri was arguably the best GM we have had since Sheer. Connelly made mistake after mistake, the only thing he did well was draft. He was terrible in free agency, and below average in trades, and he has shown that in Minny, yet Twolves fans and the national media talk the guy up constantly. The Gobert trade literally took his 1 strength and cut it in half, for an experiment, creating the same issue we constantly faced with perimeter defense.

I saw people talking up Gary Forbes and Austin Rivers and this guy coming over here acting like they just signed 2 young starters and not a couple of bad end of the bench veterans. Wanting detailed scouting reports and answering every dumb question about them, then being told they were going to be their bench and expecting us to act like they just got the steal of the world.

Now they take Connelly's brother and our director of player development, and act like they took our whole front office, not realizing that without draft picks that means they will be signing some more guys like Campazzo.

Meanwhile I see people projecting us to have slightly better records next year, how great the Clippers, the Twolves, and the Grizzlies and reading that we are no where near a contender, while ignoring the fact that we weren't just missing 2 guys. Murray and MPJ are of course important, but NNaji, Dozier, and Cancar were all big losses due to depth issues and Connelly being such an idiot on roster fit. For the 1st time since Harris we have an actual starting quality SG, who plays defense and can shoot. For the 1st time in I don't know how long we have actual SG/SFs on the roster and spent some money on a good backup 2/3. We will get Murray, MPJ, NNaji, and Cancar back, fixed our biggest weakness, cleared roster gluts and improved versatility, the MVP is pissed after losing in the 1st round, and yet we are not going to be a contender or even better? **** off, we should be favorites.

Last season we played without Murray and MPJ, so I understand why people here are more sensitive and protective than usual when fans of other teams come to teach us lessons about Nuggets or their teams. But now things are changing for the upcoming season, so we really don't need to overreact on every 'intruder' opinion, especially during the offseason when the season has not even started. 2023 T-Wolves are going to continue their big improvement by adding Gobert, so their fans have the right to be a little bit overconfident and overenthusiastic after just two playoff appearances in the past 17 seasons, but they still have no business compared to healthy Nuggets, especially once playoff starts when the opponents will more intensively attack "twin tower" concept weakness.

BTW I agree that Tim Connely was overrated. He has all the time problems to make any decent trade in Denver no matter how many assets we have to get the player we wanted or needed, and this blockbuster trade which started his Minneapolis era many already call a big overpay. TC established his name due to great draft choices, but the biggest credit for Nikola Jokic's pick which make the biggest impact and difference should actually go to Arturas Karnishovas.

Look, if someone wants to come into this forum to talk about the Nuggets, I'm all for it. However, that isn't always the case, as it was with the MINN poster, he wanted to talk about HIS team. Now, when I have to pee, I don't go into the Ladies' room to do it, I use the Men's room where it's appropriate for me to do so. There are appropriate places to crow about one's own team, that is where it should be done, or else it is known as trolling. He even left and came back for more, believing he could get away with it.

As for TC, I thought he had/has two good qualities that worked well for us. 1) He, and had a good eye for drafting, perhaps this should be credited more to the scouting dept. 2) He had a good relationship with players and media, he really could create team-easing presentations and interviews to make the team look comfortable and in control. His shortcomings were very apparent though, he "lost" nearly every trade he made in terms of over-giving value and it appeared he was limited or afraid to make big moves unless his hand was forced (see the Nurkic trade). Ironic that his first move in MINN takes away his biggest strength (and into one of his biggest weaknesses to boot), guess he feels their window of opportunity is opening while closing UTAH's, quite a boom-or-bust move that feels like it'll come back to bite him in the ass given the current strength of the Western Confernce.

 Exactly correct

BTW - How many reputable sources are listing the Twolves in the running for a championship? That would be NONE! Home many reputable sources are listing the Twolves as better than the Nuggets? That would be NONE!

Maybe we need more :meditate: on RealGM
