Rodgers doesn't seem happy with the young WRs, puts the blame for all 3 INTs squarely on their shoulders and sounds like they've had some issues in practice too

We're not exactly in a position to coddle them. I expected tough love. Rodgers also didn't go the extra mile which he should have given the situation. You've got a new receiving corp, spend as much time with them as humanly possible and he passed on opportunities to do that.

Yeah would have been a great time to fly some young dudes In and spend some time outside camp.

I'm more annoyed that he didn't attend the voluntary camp.

Love throws an INT because two rookie wrs run the wrong route and two (more interceptions) that hit the WR in the hand then popped out. Lafleur told everyone this is the case and they still bashed Love.

Will be interesting to see the media's take on Rodgers throwing 3 picks in practice and blaming the wide receivers.

Very true, maybe they aren't still making these inconsistent mistakes if Rodgers was at voluntary camp. Rodgers needs to be out there with these guys now in the preseason to develop a rapport and get the timing down or he will be frustrated often this season.

Love is just going to be a guy imo. I don't think he's terrible or good. He won't be on the team next year unless something dramatic happens either way.

Nobody has done anything then. People can’t lament about Pickens on one hand because he is dominating camp and ignore what Doubs has done in the same manner.

Anyway the true take away in my opinion, he seems to have Rodgers eye/trust so far. That’s probably the most encouraging thing.

So you give credence to what Rodgers says?

I've observed a pattern where it largely seems like Rodgers doesn't trust and almost doesn't like young WR. So I find it of particular interest he is talking up a WR. Lazard was already in his trust circle, it would seem he is at least exploring the idea of letting Roubs too, but we'll see.

What I'm saying is that it doesn't matter what Aaron says, it's about whom he will throw to on a critical down.

Sure. But what I am saying is him talking up the rook is a good sign that he may be one of those guys that is building trust with Rodgers. Now of course I said that and Doubs dropped the bomb from Rodgers in the scrimmage so who the hell knows.

A while back someone brought up playing Dillon and Jones together. Rodgers agrees. I think we're gonna see a lot of creativity in play-calling with those two sharing the field.

For all the "Rodgers got tunnel vision with Davante" talk over the years, I do wonder how much it's going to affect the offense without a true "bail out" skill position guy that can warp defenses. Way too much to expect any of the rookies (Doubs, Watson) to immediately assume that role, and as Rodgers' mobility further diminishes due to age, you can't be expecting him to consistently make those Houdini type sequences off of broken plays anymore. Definitely see us utilizing more 2-back sets and motioning Jones out of the backfield more, but until the season starts, the question remains about whether that's more out of want, or more out of necessity.

A fair amount of the issues caused by losing Adams get mitigated by going back and utilizing the jet sweep action with Jones in the slot. They went away from the jet sweep action last year (I'd presume) because Rodgers wasn't a fan of heavy motion pre snap. While that may have (probably did) benifted Rodgers ability to read pre snap it also allowed the defense to set and shift coverage accordingly which led to Devante needing to be Davante to beat the coverage.

If this offense is going to be successful you're going to need to see it look a lot more like it did 2 years ago pre snap versus what we saw last season

I get Rodgers distain for motion but I'm 100% with you that they should have used Jones in that role last year and I hope they do this season. Even like 10 snaps a game. Make the D worry about both Jones and Dillion on the same play.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Both Jones and Dillon are probably seen as more reliable recievers than the rookies at this point too, plus the potential for YAC from both.

Even just the motion of one of the backs to a receiver position. Usually makes for less men in the box on D as someone needs account/cover them and either could feast running then as well. Lots of reasons to like those two together on the field.

A day after Rodgers expressed his frustration with the group, they were instructed to report to the quarterback meeting room at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived, they found all three quarterbacks plus the key members of the offensive coaching staff who work directly on the passing game in the room.

Rodgers did not call the meeting, but he spoke extensively during it, according to several participants.

"It was just really giving us advice," rookie receiver Samori Toure said. "Basically, letting us know that the Green Bay receiving corps has always been held to a super-high standard. All the legends who have been through here. It's just about us carrying on that standard and stepping up."

The concern on offense is the line.
