This makes no sense, why extend him if they arent going to trade the draft picks?

NBA players avoid playing in the last year of a deal. Kyrie Irving did not execute his plan well.

The Mavs missed the playoffs without Brunson.

I guess BRONNY is going to be drafted by the Lakers or there G-League affiliate and he’ll get called up

Because it LeBron James?

Good for him. Bronny is at least 2 year out to be draft eligible. That PO gives him the flexibility he needs to go whoever drafts him.

Leaving LA would be more damaging to his legacy than just toughing it out in LA with another year of Russ.

Is it a foregone conclusion that the Lakers will trade for Kyrie? More incentive to do so, now that James is locked up?

Lets gooooo! Happy to have Lebron James, consensus top 2 GOAT, in our franchise for at least 6 years (24/25 player option) barring a trade. That's at least 2 years more than his tenure in Miami and would firmly make LA his 2nd most tenured franchise outside his hometown Cavs.
