Was Michael Cooper a superstar?
Maybe, maybe not, but Bob McAdoo was. Three consecutive scoring titles (30.6 ppg, 34.5 ppg, 31.1 ppg), ROY, MVP, Hall of Famer, member of the NBA 75th Anniversary team.

A recent article had one of my favorites, Eddie House, take credit for recruiting another, James Posey, to the Celtics, even though he had already pretty much agreed to go to the Nets and play with Jason Kidd instead.

I really liked the Sichting/Walton give-and-go. Only one of those guys was ever regarded as a superstar.

Mine is Sedale Threatt. Even made a video of his highlights. Sedale aka "The THIEF" kept the boat barely afloat post Magic retirement in 91. He was a fan fave tho. Great personality. Loved the game, loved talkin, and would occasionally clown unsuspecting defenders who didn't think he had none.

In 2005, he averaged 16 PPG 12 RPG per 36 minutes off the bench, including a 0.682 TS% and 88% FT. One of the most underrated rebounders of all-time as well. What a G.
He made Webber and Brad Miller practically cry one game. He was a beast that year.
Fortson also commited a ton of fouls, and turned it over... but in spots, he dominated.

Even with the elbow-out, Tuxedo shooting form he was special, but was never a major draw
For a stretch there Kev-Mart was a pretty out-of-this-world scorer. Had that Maggette like shameless FT game if I recall, but could stroke it from anywhere, and was just a crafty scorer.
Didn't do much else and couldn't stay healthy, but his scoring was extremely noteworthy.

Mine as well.
He had a sort of superstar-ish imapct for the Raps, but clearly it wasn't enough come playoff time, nor would ANYone call Lowry a superstar. But man, he just found a hundred ways to keep us competitive. Maybe he was nervous in some big moments, but I never doubted his leadership or overall play. Was so happy for him in 2019 (as I was for myself and the whole city obv).
Some other all time mentions for me are the late great Dennis Johnson, and the fiercely servicable Bobby Jackson.

As a Sonics fan at the time, that could have a been very stupid trade for the Sonics

Re: Who is your favorite non superstar of all time?
I’ll take the Triumvirate Sonics backcourt of Dennis Johnson, Gus, the Wizard, Williams and Downtown Freddy Brown.
Should have won two championships if Dennis hadn’t suddenly gone cold the first time round against the Bullets.
Dennis was real good. Maybe almost a superstar. Freddy immediately took advantage of the new 3 point rule, but the Sonics couldn’t get past Kareem now paired with the amazing rookie Magic Johnson.
