damn this game was nuts

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

As someone who has witnessed first hand the impact Ja Morant has had on our franchise, I am not shaming anyone for having Scoot #1.

At the same time [or now vs when they were drafted] how do you compare the Top 3 to this year [A seemingly clear Top 3 to many leading up to the draft] and 2021?

I like Scoot better than Cade, which makes Scoot my favorite perimeter prospect since...Ja? Luka? Longer?

I'm liking Scoot a lot.

right now id take Vic/Scoot/DWH over anyone in 2021 probably, just better and more clear archetypes overall for me

Wow, you are clearly very high on the 23 draft. I'm shocked actually by that statement.

high on this class for sure but also lower on the 21 class in general

again it's primarily an archetype issue for me. as much as liked Jabari I still had/have reservations about whether he's positionally locked at the 4. same with Paolo. Chet has a bit more positional versatility but he's not without his flaws either.

don't see the same issues at the top of 22, all the top prospects have clear and premium archetypes in today's NBA. Scoot's a lead guard. Dariq's a wing. Vic's a legit 5. straightforward and clean projections and more options overall for teams.

Maybe I misunderstood, I thought you guys were talking about the 21 draft. Cade, Jalen, Mobley, Barnes, etc.

I'm taking Scoot and Dariq above Wemby..

I think I'm trending there and by draft I will definitely think that so may as well just say it now.

Once people realize how good Anthony Black, Nick Smith, GG Jackson, Jarace Walker, Keyonte George and both Thompsons are, I don't think 2021 will be compared to 2023 in terms of draft quality. This draft is loaded throughout the entire lottery.

Thompson twins are overrated, Keyonte is a score first combo guard who's undersized, and Walker is nice in theory but could very well be a positionless guy in the NBA

still a lot these guys have to prove, there will also undoubtedly be guys who underperform in college like we see every year.

Like with any class, a good chunk of the top 10-15 will look somewhat exposed during their time in college. Usually what you need in most classes are enough lower ranked guys to make the jump into looking like legit prospects and 2-3 of the top tier guys to continue looking like top tier guys.

So to me the hope really comes down to, can we have someone like Whitehead or someone else join the conversation with Scoot and Wemby to make this a legit 3 man conversation at the top. Also if we expect around have of the so 5 star recruits to bomb out, will we see a good chunk of lower ranked guys make a jump or soph/jr make a big jump to make the lotto look deep.
