Post#1 » by Tracymcgoaty » Sun Aug 21, 2022 3:34 am

What a horrible fight that was....Merab-Aldo....Wtf was that.

Lets hope Costa beats Rockhold and Leon makes it interesting.

Salt Lake City...the elevation is making these fights so weird. Never seen so many fighters gas out in one night before lol.

Leon is a classic MMA fighter, While Usaman was wearing him down Leon was always looking for that set-up,

Beutiful thing about the sport, One mistake and suddenly 3 rounds of domination mean nothing. Happy for Leon. Dude has not lost a fight for 7 years and deserved a shot sooner

Crazy win for Leon. Usman was looking like his dominant self til Edwards set that up perfect. Trilogy coming soon and IMO Usman has an Amanda like come back win. Drake curse is back in a big way. But Usman needed this. He's been walking around like he's all that talking about Canelo, LHW, Jon Jones, etc etc. You can't get comfortable in this sport nor look ahead.. there's a literal killer around the corner.

Luke Rockhold went out like a G.

Ironically enough, his last loss came to Usman. We all probably thought Leon could give him a fight but wow that was f***** perfect

I love the UFC

This video probably won't last long but here's the KO if you missed it.

I absolutely loved the Rockhold vs. Costa fight even though I'm not a fan of either of them.

Rockhold was completely done after getting taken down in the first. Somehow he found a way to keep fighting and rocking Costa despite wabbling all over the ring due to exhaustion. Then at the end, the fight is basically over and Costa is going to win, but Luke finds a way to flip him over just so he can rub blood in face and get one or two last shots in. Total respect.

Merab and Aldo both should be banned, that was disgraceful. Merab is a useless "pressure" bum that ruined the fight and Aldo decided he didn't actually want to do anything other than defend takedowns.

Costa and Rockhold was glorious violence and they deserve fight of the night. Rockhold was way too emotional for a 40 year old veteran fighter. He actually had a shot if he was under more control and fought at range. Costa is a tank and outclassed Luke.

Leon won me a couple hundred bucks with his KO of Marty. I'm not a fan of instant rematches, they hold up the division. Let Usman fight a top-10 guy like Shavkat for another shot at the belt.

You got two guys who are 5-0 in the UFC who probably deserve a shot over Shavkat (Love him however)

But Usman just lost his title with a brilliant set up kick with a minute to go after honestly beating Covington twice, Masvidal twice, Burns, Leon, Plus two top 10 guys in other divisions, lost his first fight in the UFC

Guy deserves a re-do. There are PLENTY of fights to make, You will have Colby/Masvidal, winner of Brady/Muhammad, Some really good prospects in Khazmat/Shavkat/Brady, Then suddenly Neil puts a really good fighter in Luque down. Lots of interesting fights to make, a Re-match doesnt hold the division up

I don't like Usman but if anyone deserves a rematch it's him, for all the praise of Leon he looked bad for most of the fight, Usman will be the favorite in a rematch.

And you could have a great title eliminator between Colby and Khamzat assuming Khamzat handles Nate.

Fair. Eh, you aren't wrong - it wouldn't hold up the division I'm just tired of the constant running back fights. Fighters only have a small number of dominant years and we as fans should want to see them fight as many opponents as possible.

The Figgy/Moreno debacle is just boring to me at this point and the moment Moreno fights someone other than the champ, he puts on a very fun firefight with Kara France.

Usman will likely be out for 6+ months, I'd like to see Edwards stay active and fight again in the winter. And please no Masvidal money fights.

LOL, talking about going against fighters in other the other sport (boxing or MMA) has kind of become a jump the shark moment.
